is there a possibility of jovan coming over to mls at this point in his career? hey, i've never liked him as player, i've always cringed when i've heard his been called up for a nats game, but... he is a big guy and (allegedly) is a skillfull player -- for some reason i think of him as an interesting canidate for matching with adu obvious complications would be money and his apparent desire to linger overseas jbb
He's been getting some good minutes off Brum's bench. If they sign some star in the January transfer window, he'll probably go back to Div 1 in June. The money is too good and he's still talented and (relatively) young for MLS right now.
I've heard numerous reasons why Kirovski will stay overseas and I think most of them are accurate. I think there are two possible reasons he might come to MLS: 1. To get starter's minutes and rebuild his game (and thus get a chance to really start in the Premiership); and/or 2. With WC qualifying coming up, being in the USA/MLS and playing regularly gets you lots of looks by the Bruce-meister. And while Kirovski has under performed as a target forward (an area Arena has used him at in the past), in MLS he might succeed. Paired with an intelligent forward with good close control he could be a solid target man. But we don't need him as an A-mid or a withdrawn forward. Also, I'd think Dallas would be interested in him (assuming they have two allocations). He would be a good fit for Dallas--pair him with EJ or put him at A-mid.
I have seen a rumour in passing that Kirovski may look to MLS after this EPL season. He made the subs bench for the first time in 4 months on Sunday and did play the last 20 minutes or so of that match. The Brum are in a current injury crisis which could mean some more time for him but overall he really hasn't played much. I don't know if he will or won't come but he probably should.
