Could the MLS and fire actually outbid even a financially strapped Derby team?

So we deal Faria to someone say, D.C. or Dallas, for a 1st round draft pick to free up an SI spot. Then work on getting AW or the Dip a green card so when next year rolls around and Damani is a SI instead of a TI we won't be in trouble.
