Welp, I spoke a little too soon. Not sure if he was at fault but he was caught flat footed on a Kroos —> Vini through ball.
He was absolutely at fault for that goal. Was no need to push up and get caught flat-footed. He really needs to keep things more simple and not play too aggressively. Definitely not a good look for him when he's fighting for his place.
Agreed. Such a shame because he looked so good for the majority of the game. It's not an excuse but Vini Jr. has the uncanny ability to make defenders look like fools and make bad decisions.
Totally agree. If we take away those to faults leading to goals he was good. And thats the only thing people will remember from this game. Feels like he blew his chances tonight.
I'm a pretty big KMJ stan, but that was a pretty damning performance. I'll probably lay off football social media for a few weeks.
One of his worst performances, if not, the worst. I must say though, I can't "100%" blame the dude entirely either when he looks like someone who is basically a former shell of himself with his current physique. The guy just isn't the same with the military training and meaningless KNT/league games draining the life out of him and also had to adapt to a system that basically exposed his decision making when it comes to positioning. As it stands, Bayern and KMJ is a mismatch. Bayern currently has zero intention to bring in a dedicated Def MF or even a MF with defensive qualities to cover for the back line and KMJ. The silver lining in this is that there will be a new manager after Tuchel, so let's see how that goes. If that goes bad, he should just leave, as Bayern seems to be on a path of decadence and mediocrity in general anyway.
After what the Chinese government did to Son Jun-ho, I'm glad that Kim Min-jae moved out of there. He would've been better off staying with Napoli instead of moving to Munich.
What's worse, a troll or a gook bbong that foams at the mouth whenever his countrymen gets some realistic feedback ? I guess both are bad
There is a reason he got benched for Dier at Bayern. Better to play consistently in China/Korea than to be benched for a Tottenham reject at Bayern.
