Fantastic. But what happened to The Monster???? He looks like The Skeletor. Was the army food so terrible that he starved himself? Give him a cookie for chrissakes.
Least we got another korean in the champions league for at least 5 yrs. park ji sung - son heung min - kim min jae - lee kang in. The korean journey continues boys
He does look like he needs to bulk back up a little doesn’t he? On the one hand he’ll be faster, but in the other more prone to injuries. I guess the army diet is one size fits all for everyone
Good thing he is at Bayern then. They are rather well known for building up physical beasts over there. He will be even stronger than before.
Great as always defensively. Rusty as expected, but has made a great impression with Tuchel and his teammates.
Solid performance against Liverpool with a delicious assist. The trust in his decision making and composure is evident with the number of passes back to him. He has great awareness. One thing I noticed is he seems to catch Davies off guard a lot of time cause he wants to play the ball into space while Davies is flat footed. Hope Davies starts to understand the situations in which KMJ plays a leading pass.
One thing that bothers me is that he sometimes passes the ball to a midfielder who's pressured by 2+ players.
This vid shows that KMJ made a mistake for the first goal conceded by the way.. The same mistake he made last time against the Jleague team. Cant make a mistake like that if you are going to leave a space behind as a defender.. Other than that, he performed pretty well though.
Agreed. It's different when its a short pass back and forth in the midfield but he passes 15+ yards to his midfielder who has someone breathing down their neck. If someone reads it correctly, it's a loss of possession for sure. Hopefully he learns after the 2nd time something goes wrong.
At the risk of being a KMJ fanboy, that's the kind of move that would have been covered by Rahmani in Napoli, and Upe will develop this understanding. The move was made high up their own half so there is room for recovery by speedy defenders. Kim doesn't make this move in isolation, he has both Pavard and Upe behind him, and in this case, Pavard had the overlap covered. Upe should have covered Gakpo's run, but instead doubled Pavard's man, which he didn't need. It was a calculated risk, but one with back up implied. Tuchel will say either stop taking such risks or learn to cover the press.
I guess I am a fanboy… funny video https://www.reddit.com/r/sscnapoli/..._app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
Looks like he made a similar mistake and Minamino scored.. He made a major mistake in every match he played so far. Hopefully his form will be 100% when the league starts.
Naver news was wrong as usual smh.. He did make a stupid pass mistake which almost led to conceding... Minamino's goal had nothing to do with it.
It is a new system he needs to adjust to anyway. De Ligt was was in the same boat in his first season with Bayern as well. At least Bayern fans seem to be understanding enough for now.
