This is crushing. He has been our team's inspiration, often acting as defacto captain on the field. In addition, his always dangerous free kicks will be missed. 9 of our 15 remaining matches are against top 10 sides, none of whome we have beaten. We may yet rue those draws against Watford, Norwich and Brentford at the other end of the table. Of the 6 bottom table teams we'll play, 4 of them are away. It's distressing to see that we still struggle to score goals, and may not close out matches even when we have been the better team.

We're 19 points away from 40. I don't suppose we'll get there. How many will be enough then? I'm praying Tripps is back for the Norwich match, as that may be the third team we have to stay above. In fact, if he's there for Leicester, then he can get resettled before the 6-pointer.

Let's hope Bruno makes a similar impact, but no doubt we will miss Trippier.
