I watched the match. He was alright, did his usual passing, but they were basically sitting back and hoping to score from set pieces or a fast counter. Couldn't really do much in his limited role, calmed it down a bit for his side, but didn't offer much at all going forward.

Been meaning to ask, how exactly did Ki get selected as Captain during Swansea? Does it just boil down to his position and veteran pitch knowledge? Dude always seem to be caught up in some bullshit so it came off as a surprise when I found out he was a Captain. I'm guessing it's just media shenanigans?
Sorry, I don't know what the hell I was smoking all these years. I could have sworn seeing the captain tag on a box score one day and just rolled with it since.
apparently not. but the Geordies are increasingly calling for him to start over Diamé who has been awful. after today's shock collapse vs ManUre, Rafa will need to make some changes. harsh to judge Ki as of yet as he's not really been given a chance.
KSY also need to start being more aggressive and get better defensively. His style suits a 4-3-3 with a cdm. I would image if you have 2 cms they both need to put in lots of defensive work especially Newcastle. KSY never impressed me defensively. In fact, compared to other well known cms he is a pushover
The teams in the PL doesnt care about his knee. I am just trying to theorize why he isnt in the squad the past 2 wks. If the PL is too much for him, he should leave.
