Spot on observation - Korean media is reporting that AC Milan wanted him as a rotational player, but Ki wanted to go where he could play heavy minutes as he knows his athletic prime will end in 2-3 years. Wanted one more challenge in his EPL career. Everton, Fulham, and West Ham wanted him as well.

Talks have been finished, the only thing left is for Kim Hak-bum to announce the squad.

Doesn't surprise me. Not really sure what Ki will do after football but he definitely doesn't strike me as a player who desires to play until he is 35-40.
