Awesome move. There's a good chance we'll get to see True Geordie rage about Ki and Newcastle so it'll be a fun experience watching him unfold the next two seasons.
Spot on observation - Korean media is reporting that AC Milan wanted him as a rotational player, but Ki wanted to go where he could play heavy minutes as he knows his athletic prime will end in 2-3 years. Wanted one more challenge in his EPL career. Everton, Fulham, and West Ham wanted him as well. Respect to Ki for refusing to go to China, where he would command an absurd salary.
This is so stupid from you, as if racism was only in Italy. And if that's a joke, well...it's not funny.
Jonjo is not an easy bloke to get on with but for whatever reason he and Shelvey always got on well. Rafa is a wildcard too. In many ways this move makes sense. But way 2 go China. Way to arse up one of the all time classic kits in English Football. My eyes....
Too bad there will be no Korean derby on Newcastle's opening match vs Tottenham for the 18/19 EPL season.

Talks have been finished, the only thing left is for Kim Hak-bum to announce the squad.
Doesn't surprise me. Not really sure what Ki will do after football but he definitely doesn't strike me as a player who desires to play until he is 35-40.
Honestly watching him at this WC I think the day will come sooner rather than later. It pains me to say it because he's a generational talent but he seems spent and he should focus on prolonging his club career.
Playing for Rafa is the closest thing he will come to fulfilling his dream of being Steven Gerrard and playing for Liverpool. #Kirrard
