Also brought the control and strength to the midfield that Swans lacked. I think Laudurp will consider starting him on Sunday.

As for Donnelly i think it'd be best to not put any pressure on him. Good that he got this experience. I hope he succeeds with Swansea but he's probably not getting a lot of play time with the first team this year.

I'd agree but I woulda thought that after JDG/JJS disaster vs Spurs that we'd have seen Ki from the start today. I guess if I were being insanely optimistic it would be that laudrup wanted Ki fresh for Sunday.

Maybe he thought Britton could handle the job on his own. I kinda thought that too until the Romanians ran all over them.

    Keep telling yourself that.

Well he didn't do too badly on that occasion, he forced the defender to throw himself at it, had he had any more contact on the ball it would have gone in and any less it would have gone to Pablo on the far post.

He obviously still has a lot to learn, but I thought he took his goal well once he missed the first chance and don't think it hit his hand. If it did hit his hand, it would be ball to hand.

That was a possibly, but unlikely. Could be the case though as I think Saint Etienne and Udinese went out.

There's going to be a lucky losers draw as Fenerbahce were disqualified, all the losers will be put in a draw and whoever are picked will replace them so that could affect the seeding.

Tbh I don't know an awful lot about how the Europa League works, lets just see who we get tommorow, hopefully we don't get a group of death and have a good away day to go to.

do Korean journalist have any journalistic integrity/pride? do they have anything better to do with their life?
the bullshit they continue to write is just Fking crazy...

edit: crap doesn't even make sense unless Sunderland's entire midfield (including wingers) is out injured.. & only in this case Premier League might allow this deal.

Everton would be awesome but would he get the nod over Barkley, Gibson?

Look at pot 3+4. Almost all are secondary / tertiary leagues. The three drop outs (2 you mention + stuttgart) basically created tons of space.

We'll see, I know that we were likely to be in pot 3 and not sure the effect of last nights results. APOEL have replaced Fenerbahce.

Different type of player to both, but they've been linked with Barry and McCarthy. Everton haven't made a bid for Ki though.

    We've got plenty of depth.

    GK: Vorm, Tremmel

CB: Williams, Chico, Amat, Monk, Davies, Ki
    RB: Rangel, Tiendalli, Richards, Taylor
    LB: Davies, Taylor, Tiendalli, Richards

    DM: Britton, Canas, Ki
    CM: Shelvey, Ki, JDG
AM: Michu, Pozuelo, JDG, Shelvey, Ki

    RW: Pablo, Dyer, Pozuelo, Gorre
    LW: Routledge, Pablo, Pozuelo, Lamah

ST: Bony, Odemwingie/Vasquez, Donnelly, Michu, Pozuelo

@SwansOfficial: Here we go Swans fans....Europa League Group Stage draw time. Just a reminder, we are in Pot Two.

    With Valencia.

Kuban Krasnodar. Looking tough on travel and quality now.

I don't think the travelling's too bad, as long as it wasn't the other side of Russia or deep in Kazakhstan/Israel then it's not an issue. It's just going to be an extra hour or so for the players on one trip, and the fans like myself have a great away game to go to in Valencia and a good alternative option in St. Gallen which aren't far away.

They're strong sides, but as are we and I'd back us to qualify. By then we should have a settled side, with Bony hopefully settling in with Michu behind him and ideally JDG will either stop being a passenger, Ki will replace him or Shelvey will play well consistently.

Now for West Brom sunday, off to that and it should be a good away day. Hopefully we'll get our first points on the board and hopefully Michu is playing behind Bony, as it's only been then when we've looked threatening going forward. Pozuelo and Ki to start as well based on Thursday. My team would be:

    Vorm

    Rangel - Williams (C) - Chico - Davies
    Britton - Ki
    Pablo - Michu - Pozuelo
    Bony

Stupid move by Swansea + Ki....

It won't change my perspective toward Sunderland. I expect them to get relegated & I hope they get relegated.

If there's a January recall that would be really odd.
