Many Korean fans are becoming fond of PSV and Kezman and Robben as well as Park and Lee. They seem to think Kezman and Robben are excellent players. PSV beat NEC 2-1. As a general rule about Korean broadcast of matches: - Feyenoord matches are shown in ITV - PSV matches are shown in MBC
Robben is from Groningen what did you expect? Of course he's excellent.... Too bad PSV's youth academy isn't....otherwise he would still be playing in Grunn
Re: Re: Re: Kezman and Robben[R] If PSV had an excellent youth system, they wouldnt have to buy young talent from other clubs...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Kezman and Robben[R] It's well organised and all: lots of teams, good facilities, etc. It's just that it hasn't produced a single talent that was good enough to make the first team in the last 10 years or so..... Compare that to the youth systems of Feyenoord and especially Ajax....
Every day you learn something new, I thought Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV were equal regarding youth squads.
The PSV youth-development-system is nothing much realy. It also seems that they rather buy some other player rather then give their own youth a chance. A good example is PSV buying Ter Rouwelaar as second keeper, and place their own Coutinho in third place, while Coutinho did surpass Ter Rouwelaar in the Young-Holland national squad. Now Ter Rouwelaar had been hired out to Groningen, and Coutinho went on a hired base to FC Den Bosch (his home town). PSV already bought the Sparta keeper as second keeper. On the moment only Bouma, Faber are from the PSV youth-system of the players playing for PSV. Wheras Ajax has Seedorf (Stefano), Heitinga, Van der Vaart, Stekelenburg, Witschge). By the way, it's also true that there's more football-talent in the Amsterdam/Rotterdam area. One of the reasons for this are the lesser social and economical in that area and the influence from imigrated people who added something to the football played there on the streets and the clubs. Because of this, kids there play more football and find it more amusing then in other areas in Holland. It might sound a bit odd, but just think about it.
