I think this will rank with the biggest US upsets of all-time if Yanks can win today...Brazil is upset, this is an off-site tournament....and how often does Brazil EVER lose 2 games in a row?

    The keys are:

    (1) Howard has to play the game of his life- He will be tested many times. He will have to save 1-2 sure goals. There is no way with a mad Brazil, and a new, untested American D, that Brazil will not generate a lot of good opportunities

    (2) US can not allow an unnecessary PK (a la Turkey)

    (3) US will have to be very efficient in converting opportunities (this can not be WC Germany II...there will only be a handful of GREAT chances and US needs to knock in a couple (minimum)

    (4) Landon, Convey, Boca must play outstanding today- practically error-free. Mathis must score a goal. Mastro needs to play, and play well. US must be able to keep possession much better than Turkey game- there must be a "confidence" to the US game- the entire game.

    (5) Gibbs- if he starts- will need to have one of the most outstanding debuts ever for a Nat player- essentially shutting down (a relative term- after all...it is Brazil) Alex or someone like...he will have to be Lalas vs. Columbia '94 effective (or better)

Good luck boys....I'm rooting for ya'....I will stick with the prediction of either 3-1 or 3-2 to Brazil, but I would love to be wrong.

    THANK YOU MR. OBVIOUS.

I could have told you that myself.

    More Keys
    (1) The players have to give 110% - Mathis and Donovan must especially step up and give 10 percent more than is realistically possible.
    (2) The gnats must take it one game at a time - They must concentrate on the Brazil game without thinking about Cameroon while they're playing against Brazil.
    (3) The defense must be solid and organized - or else Brazil will score goals.
    (4) The USSF must call up Freddy Adu for the match - and Adu must score 3 goals in order to down the World CHAMPS

The US needs a ball holder in the midfield and one that can conduct the attack, pref. mathis.

Berhalter and califf not to play

    Neither Kirovski

    and stop the counter.

If Cory plays it won't be his debut, but I actually agree with you, they have to play without errors, no penalties, and FINISH THEIR CHANCES.

There need to be ten people in the outfield playing defence for the U.S. It has to be a team effort to close them down.

It won't be the biggest upset, but if we beat them and knock them out of the tournament. It would sure piss their fans off.

Key to victory is at the end of the game we score more goals then Brazil.

Now that the game is over it's obvious that we had no chance. They are simply that much better then us.
Maybe if we could kidnaped the team we could have won?

Up next, the team that beat th3e team kicked out ass.
