    Keyrol Figueroa
    Position: Forward
    Birthplace: Tegucigalpa, Honduras
    DOB: 31, August, 2006
    Position: Forward

We didn't really have any evidence that he had become a US citizen before, but he was just called in for the US U17s:

Liverpool forward Keyrol Figueroa Norales is the lone player making his first U-17 MYNT appearance this cycle.

His father is Honduran legend Maynor Figureoa, with 182 caps, so could be a tough battle going forward. Maynor was in the US as a player from 2015 to 2021, but reports said he got his Green Card in 2020, so it seemed a stretch that Keyrol had one before then. But his mom was a NT handball player and may have had the Green Card instead (which still brings up the question of why Maynor wasn't on a GC during that time).

Mom's old tweet answers a lot of questions:

Still not sure why Dad waited so long to get his Green Card, but hey...

The Honduras fed confirmed in a statement yesterday that he has all three passports. The US U17s already invited him to the UEFA Development Tournament in May but he was not released.

    Full-time: Wolves 4-3 Liverpool U18

A late #LFCU18 fight-back couldn’t amount to an equaliser as Keyrol Figueroa and Elijah John both scored first goals of the season alongside under-sixteen player, Carter Pinnington. Liverpool’s U18 Premier League Cup campaign is over.

Always admired his dad as a competitor who seemed to give it his all on the field.

Seems to be a really promising prospect, and is absolutely banging in goals this year with Liverpool's youth squad. I haven't seen him play yet -- for anyone who has, what's your scouting report? I'm excited to see him continue to develop.

FWIW, while it's obviously just highlights, a lotta CONCACAF highlights are still up. Scroll down from the top here:

You don't work that hard for the team, Tim. Be honest.

Played for the U18s today. His replacement scored both goals in a 2-0 win:

    https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/u18s-match-report-ranel-young-strikes-twice-reds-beat-newcastle

The No.9, though, was denied by a raised offside flag, having flicked a Keyrol Figueroa’s cross home, with Danns and Koumas again going close in the immediate aftermath.

Liverpool U18s: Hewitson, Davidson, Gyimah, Pitt, Samuels, McConnell, Figueroa (Young, 73), Onanuga, Koumas, Kelly (Pennington, 83) Danns (Gift, 83).

Uh, so the ESPN write up on potential future USMNT stars notes that Keyrol bagged 90 club goals in his U-13/14 season???? Was he at ‘Pool then?

Holy crap what a strike. The 2 defenders played ole defense to let the ball go to Keyrol, but he turned, and advanced the ball and unleashed a laser that I don't think any keeper at any level (yes, any level) even gets a finger on.
