Also guys who can play out of pressure and create from deep are super useful these days because so many teams press high, having a guy who can play deep and is good on the ball creates tons of opportunities being able to soak up the pressure and play out of it. I haven't seen a ton of him but Agudelo strikes me as the type of guy that has the skillset to play deeper long term.

He's getting really good reviews and its completely deserved. He's played multiple positions already and done really well, he's perfectly made to play as an 8 for us. Its crazy because our biggest weakness was box to box 8's who can play in a system with James where they can overlap wide and still play deep in midfield and defend. We had basically Cuadrado and Uribe and this season we now have Agudelo and Azate basically proving for their clubs they have the skillset to do it. He should be called into camp for us at the next chance, because he needs to be viewed as the immediate replacement for Cuadrado in that position.

I don't know if he is best at #8 but we shall see what Queiroz thinks.
It would be nice what he can do at any position for Colombia. He has a good pace and style to his game.

Not really bizarre Thiago was fired a while ago and Agudelo was instantly out of the side. Very good move, Fiorentina is a good side and might as well fight for PT there then ride the bench at a team in a relegation battle. Genoa sounds like a complete mess so might as well jump ship now.

Looks like a loan with obligation to buy if he hits a certain number of games.

Bizarre is the wrong choice of words.

I do think that it's pretty crazy that in the span of 6 months this kid has gotten signed by two Serie A teams with pretty much nothing on his resume. Good for him.

inter wanted him earlier in the season to send him on loan with an option seems bizarre. If they had just kept playing him they could have made bank

Agudelo hasn't played a lot but in the few games he did get you can absolutely see why a bunch of teams want this guy. He has the makings of a very good midfielder, dribbles really well, has a very good work engine, has an eye for goal and at a very young age already has a lot of the skills you look for in a midfielder and he can play multiple positions. The guy has a really bright future if he can keep progressing and playing, I think he's a very good bet to be a long time player for Colombia starting in the next few years.

Guys that have that composure on the ball right away in their first few games usually do well, he attracts pressure and can play out of it and that is really, really desired at the top level these days with the way the game is going with pressing.

Hopefully he gets more playing time next year at Fiorentina or he goes on loan somewhere else. He's really good and and showed earlier in the season he should be playing somewhere.

Dont know if he will be in fiorentina....the obligatuon to buy was if he played a minimun of matches....and that wasnt the case.
.the good thing is that genoa saved the category

He played a really well-rounded game. Several dangerous shots on gol, great close control in tight spaces, and a few solid tackles.

I'm surprised he didn't get more action this semester. Seems to fit Fiorentina's style very well. And I gotta add that this is precisely what Quieroz is looking for from his 8s...

Based on his playing time I think that would be best, could be they were trying to get him cheaper too by benching him while seeing him in training but that seems like a stretch. Kid has so much potential imo.

Looked pretty good in the highlights I saw.
I don't know why but his style of play and the way he carries himself reminds me a bit of Vidal from Chile.

I would just take a Fabian Vargas with better offensive abilities at this point.
