In the local paper, there was the story of a young man who served his 4 year hitch, AND had gone past his 4 year IRR commitment. But, because he didn't formally resign from the IRR, they're calling him up. He's suing. I hope he wins. I mean, Jesus, if my dad never resigned from the IRR, are they gonna call up his 69 year old ass?
How would it be politically motivated? Do you think Rove is scared of Medeiros on the campaign trail and this is a way to prevent him from campaigning for Kerry? Because if you do, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Instead it draws more attention to Kerry's service as well as makes the war appear even more rediculous when 56-year-old Vietnam vets are being called out of the bullpen.
