It's not entirely outreagous to say that...most of American was cheering for them, including alot of people who don't even really watch much baseball.
Definitely. I got calls/IMs from Cubs fans, White Sox fans, Twins fans, and people who didn't really even care about baseball all that much, to congratulate the team. It wasn't a stretch to say America was behind the Red Sox for much of the postseason.
Theres only 3 national teams. Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. Right now the Red Sox are America's team. Just look at the guys, how can you not love them or root for them.
I'm sure Kerry must've loved it when Curt Schilling told Red Sox Nation to vote for Bush on Good Morning America Thursday. Seriously can Kerry please ditch the BoSox cap during the final campaign stops? Last minute bandwagon-hopper. Can't believe I'm STILL voting for him...
He's from Massachusetts. It'd sacriligious to be anything but a Red Sox fan, right? I don't care who you are, when you're a fan of a team, and they win it all, regardless of the circumstances, you're ecstatic. I'm sure being a Red Sox fan and winning it all is even moreso. Maybe Bush would've donned an Astros cap had it been them? Wait, he owned the Rangers and we know there's no chance of them winning. Sykotyk
