Hey guys, I'm a first time poster/long time reader. My friend just told me that Keirrison, the striker at Barcelona (now on loan at Coritiba in Brazil), was born in Topeka, Kansas. I looked on his wikipedia page and sure enough, it said he was born in Kansas. Apparently his father is a huge fan of both Keith Richards and Jim Morrison. As a result, he combined both of their names to come up with "Keirrison". I thought that was pretty funny. If he was born in the United States, I wonder if we've approached him about playing for the USMNT?
Highly unlikely this is true we had the same thing pop up with another Brazilian player and it turned out to be a hoax
hmmm, the bottom of the wiki page says he's from topeka, but the top says he was born in Brazil. I guess time will tell
Most databases say Dourados. Then Wiki randomly states Topeka. Someone from Topeka just made a shout out it seems..
It did seem strange to me and definitely random. I just was wondering if you guys heard anything, but thanks. I would have to think he would have been contacted by someone in the USSF if he indeed was born in Kansas.
This is what happens when all the leagues aren't in season yet and a BS poster gets bored... If you look at the Wikipedia edit history, someone changed it back in July, first to Heyfield, MN, and then to Topeka.
