Talk about group of death. Will one of the three miss out, or do some thirds get through?

Not sure that Juve are all that tbh and havent made it past the round of 32 prior to this year. No idea what they've done over the summer so could be strong but they are well outside of the top 20 in the uefa coefficient fwiw.

Only top two progress from each of the 4 groups so still have to take them seriously.

Hope so. They’re winners of eight straight since a 6-0 loss to ….Barcelona. So maybe a draw, then.

There was good news for Chelsea fans last night while the men toiled away in Italy the women's team traveled to a city with more canals than Venice.... Birmingham.

Playing in last year's FA cup against a Birmingham team rock bottom in the WSL. Despite dominating play they struggled to worry the score sheet, now where have I heard that before?

However unlike the men the woman were a very second string team and come half time and 3 world class substitutions they are suddenly 3-0 up and end the game 4-0.

Oh and the Chelsea scorers? No points for guessing Kerr, Kirby and Harder

Early start for the woman today kickoff at 11:30 should have enough time to watch the game before heading out to the Bridge.

    Currently 1-0 against Brighton

I see the barcelona juggernaut keeps on rolling. Absolutely battered arsenal today 4-1 with a missed penalty and 35 shots.

Given arsenal look like the team to beat in the WSL this is a statement from barca. Can anyone slow them down, let alone stop them?

Wolfsburg equalise completely against the run of play due to mistake at the back between Chelsea keeper and defence

Another Berger error and Wolfsburg lead 1-2

Considering Berger's play in this competition last year this is unreal

Chelsea come back from 1-3 down to draw 3-3 in extra time. Chelsea gave away the 3 goals with basic errors. Then lost the plot for a while running like headless chickens. But in the end they showed real character to keep going.

Seemed like the better team. Hopefully that was a lesson learned. Please let us try anyone but Carter.

Once again a game of two halves, game changer when Kirby and Harder came on.

It finished 1-2 to Chelsea with Harder once again coming to the rescue.

Very tight game these groups are quite tough with Chelsea, Wolfsburg and Juventus all in the same group.

    International break up next.

Chelsea take on Manchester city in the semi final of last year's FA cup.

Half time sees Chelsea leading 2-0 goals by Cuthbert and Leupolz.

City having to play 3rd choice keeper and it is showing.
