    it seems a little hard that he would be the one to say this, seeing as we just broke an english tranfser record LAST SEASON.

    maybe he's just doing this to play down the beckham to real rumors.

    Slight dig at the USA in there:

    "United full-back Mikael Silvestre has already spoken out against this summer's eight-team Confederations Cup, which includes hosts France as well as Brazil and Cameroon and will extend his season to the end of June."

    What? You fail to mention that the US is coming also? Bastages... I hope we smother the French...
