I've got no problem with you lot slating the BBC.
I just find it funny that half the links to soccer news etc on these boards are to the BBC.
Not to mention BBCAmerica which a decent proportion of people on these boards seem to like.

I attribute it to:

1) A World Cup bump;

2) Contracting two pages that people weren't looking at;

3) The impending baseball strike; or

4) All those kids who grew up learning HTML are venturing out on the web to view pages done by professionals.
