Zenden with a shot from about 30 yards. just past the post... KK would have had it covered. 65'th min and it looks like Postiga is going to come on for spurs soon. I would guess for Zamora
Boro freekick 25 yards out. left left of the D. KK make a good save pushing it over at the far post corner. Corner came to nothing. 68'th min
Anthony Gardner booked for Spurs. Freekick from the corner of the box on the right side. Zenden shoots, and it goes high. Sub: Poyet off King on
The addition of King has solidified the midfield. Boro are still the better side right now though. 74'th min
Spurs are looking pretty hopeless now.... The did just have a half chance though. postiga set up Dalmat 25 yards out... well wide. Spurs 5-11 Boro (attempts at goal) Spurs 3-3 Boro (attempts on target) 78'th min
Maccarone and Keller aren't friends.... Maccarone scored 3 against him last season still 0-0 83'rd min Spurs sitting back now and soaking up pressure
Konchesky off Ricketts on Ricketts has played will when i have seen him play. This should be an interesting last 6 minutes. A draw is fair though, i don't think either side has done enough to win this
3.5 min played (there will be a bit more because of a boro sub -zenden for greening and a Taricco injury)
Final: Spurs 0-0 Boro KK gets a rare clean sheet. neither side deserved to win and a draw is a fair result.
If by "rare clean sheet" you mean "3rd in the Premiership with 4 clean sheets", then you are correct.
Thanks for doing the PbP, Splarg. Great work, as I'm waking up here, with my morning cuppa tea... Sounds like the only redeeming value of this game was that Kasey kept another clean sheet. And he's still only allowed one goal since Glenn Hoddle was replaced as Spurs manager (albeit it was that howler against Leicester last week), as the preview article on the BBC's website said. I think that's a stretch of what, five games, IIRC?
Match report from the Beeb: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/3206862.stm And from Yahoo's UK site, via TeamTalk: http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/031026/21/ec6x0.html Clip from the latter article... In fact, it was Boro who had the best chance of the game, but goalkeeper Kasey Keller made an excellent flying save to keep out Bolo Zenden's fierce shot from 20 yards after 54 minutes. Big save by Keller: Keller walks off following the scoreless draw:
