Keller out, Sullivan out, Hirschfeld is the only keeper they've got left... they'll need cover.

Isn't Ian "permanent temp" Feuer available?

I believe he is reguarded as being not ready for the daily life yet. A game here or there, like a cup tie against some lowly team from Wales (be careful of the pitch invations ;)) is not out of bounds.

Reading the quotes from Hoddle saying they could use the transfer window exemption to sign a keeper, that's exactly what I was thinking.

Ian Feuer would be a great move!

After all, I think Spurs is one of only 3-4 teams he hasn't played for in the UK.

Including or excluding the Terry Reid West Essex Sunday League Division 3? :p

Wasn't there speculation that Spurs was looking at Nick Rimando?

    Re: Rimando

Errant speculation. Spurs denied it, and even if they were interested, work permit anyone?

This is not a long-term injury for Keller. Hirschfeld will play tomorrow, and Keller should be ok for next weekend.

Soccernet is now saying in its preview that Kasey will start in the Worthington Cup match today vs. Cardiff.

"Jamie Redknapp (ankle) and Milenko Acimovic (thigh) are other major doubts but goalkeeper Kasey Keller, Spurs' man of the season so far, has recovered sufficiently from a calf strain to play."

Is anybody else imagining that scene from North Dallas Forty where Nick Nolte(?) goes in the back training room before the game and gets the big shot of something in his legs?

I gotta think Kasey is like I worked my arse off to get this job and I am not about to let anybosy try and take it from me.
