Basturk quickly ties it up for Hertha.

2-2; Gladbach took another lead only to lose it late.

Seitenwahl says Keller was "world class" today

They've posted the form marks already:

    Borussia's players, rating of performance

    Keller (10 of 10) / Fukal (2 of 10) / Svensson (5 of 10) / Zé António (4 of 10) / Compper (4 of 10) / El Fakiri (1 of 10) / Fleßers (5 of 10) / Kluge (2 of 10) / Rafael (2 of 10) / Neuville (3 of 10) / Jansen (3 of 10).

Used Subs: Broich (3 of 10) / Strasser (4 of 10) / Sonck (came on too late to get assessed)

    Match standard: 3 of 10

    From Seitenwahl:

    Keller sensational, Borussia horrible

Substitute Thomas Broich was on the verge of handing Borussia what would have been a completely undeserved victory against Hertha BSC Berlin this afternoon, but a fatal positional error at a corner-kick five minutes later, altogether only three minutes from time, saw Kovac giving his Hertha side at least a draw in front of 50,000 widely frustrated spectators at Hennes-Weisweiler-Allee. Borussia gained an early lead through an own-goal, but since Bastürk had put the score back level, the team of Horst Köppel were just delighted to see Hertha wasting a string of brilliant chances and able to watch their team-mate Kasey Keller impress with a world-class display at the same time. Keller's performances denied the visitors four to six clear goals through very excellent shot-stopping. In a match in which Borussia's German U19-international Robert Flessers won his Bundesliga debut from the start, Borussia looked horrible most of the time and received a load of sincere booing and whistling when leaving the pitch after full-time.

    *****

Hey, since Keller is likely going to be the starter for the US this June, would you rather be hearing reports that he's completely off-form and playing like crap for the Foals?

I see he called out his own fans. Nice to see, you don't boo your own players when they are about to be subbed in.

Keller gets a "2" from the Kicker and continues as the second best rated GK in Bundesliga. (2.78 average)

...and the "Man of the Match" title (again).

He gets also a special honorable mention by Kicker for this story:

    --------------------
After the late equalizer Gladbach's keeper Kasey Keller became "handy" (he cahnged into "grabbing" mode): The 86-kilo hulk (? or just giant of a man?) gave his teammate Peer Kluge, weighing almost 40 pounds less than KK, such a push that Kluge flew away several metres, to the surprise of Keller too. "Without the goal net I would have stopped in neverland", Kluge said. Although he wasn't to blame for the goal, but innocent, Kluge showed - maybe cautiously? - no sign of bad feelings against KK: "Oh well, I was obvously just at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Ach, Kluge ... it, ahem, wasn't very clever of him.
