Points are points. Not exactly the score a keeper likes to see, but it doesn't matter. Keller ist ein klassemann, as the announcers like to note.

It's called HUMBA. A lot of fans do it with their team, Gladbach, Mainz and Hamburg more often than the others though.
I remember Mainz' keeper did one as well as Hamburg's striker Barbarez.
I think Conor Casey's coach Jürgen Klopp holds the record though.

Keller screams "Give me a H", "Give me an U" and so on and then the fans sing while jumping up and down "Humba humba humba täterä...!"

There's no real meaning behind it and usually fans do Humbas without the players during the games.

It's not new but I can't remember seeing so many Humbas over the last seasons, we only saw "Die Raupe" from time to time. ;)

I don't think we did an Humba with our players yet and don't think we will.

Well I'm not gonna bring up he who must not be named...
Seems to be a bit of a trend, tossing out such comments, but maybe on BS we look for them, and so read them when they don't exist. Maybe he was just saying he feels lucky to have a wonderful wife...

It's not a shot -- at least not at any player. It's actually understanding why Americans don't always suceed in Europe for reasons other than ability.

And it's a different situation as when Kasey started, his options were much more limited -- live in Europe or probably make a lot less in the US.

    I am sure he is.

And in any case, let's face it, it's pretty hard to find a wife who minds living with a millionaire football star ... unless she thinks she can get a high paying gig of her own. Otherwise, you live in a mansion and shop at Harrod's (or Aldi's) every day. Not many women would run away from that kicking and screaming.

Oh, btw, Kasey re-signed with Borussia through the 06-07 season.
