A one-year contract extension seems pretty short. Is this KK's or Spurs' idea?

KK is 33 now, he would be 35 by the end of the contract, would that make him the oldest player in the premiership ? hard to say

Time for Spurs to get hot and roll over Bolton by about 6 goals.

Definitely not the oldest as of right now. Seaman is currently 39 I believe. While I'm not aware if its a trend, I do know that Goalkeepers can play deep into the 30s. You aren't required the same physical punishment field players are. Half of being a keeper is experience. The more you have, the better you are. Age brings experience. I can see Keller playing Premiership Football for two years to come.

Outstanding Keller couldn't save Spurs from another loss. He was just brilliant tonight. Looking forward to see him with the Nats on Saturday.

The AP agrees with you, soccerfan.

"Kasey Keller had an outstanding game, but Tottenham Hotspur lost to Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Monday night in England's Premier League when Jay Jay Okocha made a penalty kick in second-half injury time.
Keller...made a blocking save on Anthony Barness in the second half. Then, after injuring a leg in a collision with Bernard Mendy, the American goalkeeper denied Youri Djorkaeff by arching his back to tip a dipping shot over the bar.
Next, Keller dived to his right to push a powerful shot by Pierre-Yves Andre around the post."

I just watched the match tonight on FSW and Keller really played well. What a shame. He even guessed right on the PK and came within an inch or two of nabbing Okocha's well struck penalty. The PK was justified though. No shame on Kasey whatsoever in this game. He did us Yanks proud in this game.

Hardly. Even if he were 35 he wouldn't be the oldest player in the prem. He wouldn't even be the oldest on his own team. Gus Poyet is 35, Sheringham - 36. As for other players in the EPL Winterburn is 39 and still plays, Di Canio is almost 35 and Les Ferdinand is 36. Martin Keown is 37, Seaman is 39 and Zola is 36. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Also all except for Seaman are field players. Keller has several, and possibly even 5 or more years left at this level.
