I am having trouble finding keeper gloves that will last more than a few weeks on indoor soccer surfaces...US surfaces that is, not the basketball/hardfloor surfaces used in South America, etc. The surfaces I have played on are similar to astroturf and tear up gloves like its nobody's business.

    Any suggestions?

Price range, level of play, they might help and i can give it a shot at helping.
first id recommend the street ortho tec from Reusch this is made especially for hard surfaces and provides finger protection, best on the market IMO for durabillity but they are usually around the 80$ mark, or look at some of the gloves which palms are mixed with crbon or some sort of metal. http://www.newstore.just-keepers.co...reen=PROD&Product_Code=1670700&Category_Code=

try searching around on various sites to find whats best for you.

Level of play is competitive...as for price range I am pretty open to almost anything. If a glove costs twice as much as what I have now, but also lasts twice as long I would not mind paying the premium.

I know about the Reusch Street Ortho Tec but I was skeptical about the palm material so I purchased a pair of Street Masters, which is almost the same glove, but without the finger protection. They have lasted much longer than any other glove I have tried in indoor (but still no where near to how long my outdoor gloves last) and I would like to give the Orthos a shot, as I have already injured 3 fingers from getting kicked in the hands.

I guess we are on the same page...I was just curious to see if anyone knew of or saw something out there that I had missed.

    Thanks!

This is not meant as an insult, but I would say you need to take a look at your technique, & quit using your hands to break your fall or to get up with. I would bet that is where you are probably doing 80%+ of the damage to your gloves. If you need to use your hands to get up, first make a fist so as not to tear up the palm.

Remember, usually the more expensive the glove, the better the latex is, but also the softer it is.

Old US: I was thinking...my outdoor style of keeping is similar to my indoor style of keeping, yet I do not notice an unusually fast rate of wear on my gloves when I play outdoors. I will keep in mind what you said...perhaps my indoor and outdoor styles are not as similar as I think.

    Thanks.

If possible, have someone videotape one of your indoor games so you can review later. You'll be surprised at some of the things you do that you don't even realize you're doing subconsciously! ;)
