It's going to take awhile for this team to gel.

Once the team gets healthy, the defense should be a lot better. Both Lauren Orlandos and Cheryl Salisbury, played injured in the game against the Spirit. I was shocked to see them starting as I have heard that both of them didn't practice all week due to injury.

Also, I saw good things from Joey Peters, and she also didn't practice all week due to the flu. She holds the ball very well and should be able to feed the bal to Millie and Welsh when she's also at 100%.

You have to also remember that in 2001, when Sermanni was an assistant with Bay Area, the team didin't start playing well until around half-way through the season. I can see the same with this Power team.

Goals will also come, and once they do, I feel that they will come in bunches. If Millie scores in the eighth minute against SD, the ball hit the left post, I think the game could have turned out in favor of the Power.

And can we get a damn call? Janss was taked down in the box, and the official didn't call it. Five minutes later, she calls the same play a penalty against Orlandos. Give us a break for once!!!!

Ok, i'm done venting. Just keep the faith things will get better!!!!

I agree that more time will eventually lead to success for the power.

I think that right now they are a little weak in the middle of the field, especially.

Last week, I think that if New York had more composure they could of stayed in the game as far as the score was concerned. I think that Millie had an off game, as well. Of course, she is the superstar, so when she does not have an awesome game I happen to notice, plus she is not in shape, but maybe that is a beginning-of-the-season thing. (well, in my opinion at least) For the past few games, though, New York's long service and passing game has been missing at times. It has not been sharp, but I think I am being a little harsh. I am such a fan that I really want them to do well, and I feel really bad when they lose. I do think it is going to be a better season than last. We also have to consider that they are basically starting with a whole new team.

So... what do yall think, I am definitely no tacitcal genus like, uhum, Wendy Gebauer said of the obviously absent Nel Fetig( Although, Webber was a good addition)? That is where I believe it all started to just go wrong, not to mention the other changes in personnel.
