People who are still against Roy Keane after all the evidence presented are beginning to get old. If you can't admit that what he did was slightly right you have serious mental problems. Only 7-8 months ago ,before the world cup ,Roy Keane got nothin but praise from all Irish fans, he was loved and treated by us as a saviour to Irish Football and something to be proud of. Yet now after he wanted the best for his country and his teammates ye all hop on the media bandwagon calling him a "nutcase" and a "schizophrenic" and picking him out as the only wrong party in the whole world cup fiasco cos he's the easy target. I still have alot of respect if not more for Keano now but if ye can't acknowledge the facts put forward there is somethin seriously wrong.
(a) What evidence? There's been plenty of evidence presented from both sides. People who can't admit that Roy Keane isn't flawless are getting old. Etc, etc. (b) No, that's called an opinion. People have them. Different ones, sometimes. Get over it. (c) I don't think someone who starts an "I like Roy Keane" thread at this stage and expects to get a new response can talk about other people's mental problems. Unless you're a qualified psychiatrist. (d) Has anyone, anywhere, ever, at any stage, denied that Keane had some points? Not that I've seen. That's nothing to do with it. Yep. Crucial word there being "before". Well, actually, that's not strictly true.......he never went to the World Cup....I think you mean "before the squad went to Drama Central". (a) Many people haven't jumped on any "bandwagon". That's that pesky opinions thing again. Remember? We already talked about it. (b) There's no media bandwagon. Unless you count the tabloids....does this sentence need to be finished? (c) Wanting the best for his country and team is good. Picking fights with his teammates, staff, and manager while isolating himself from the squad was not, however, the way to do it. If you don't like someone, fine, but you still have to work with them. (d) Who's picked him out as the only wrong party? Please, tell me. Now who's hyping things up? Right back atcha. Hmmm, this is making me sound very anti-Keane. I'm not. I'm just not blindly pro-Keane either.
