KEANE to manage IRELAND? http://sportsnewsireland.com/soccer...ker-backs-keane-for-managers-role-2013-04-01/
Stories like this kind of irritate me: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...eplacing-us-soccers-best-ever-player-overlap- First of all, who knows what Robbie Keane was thinking? But this paints him in a crappy light. Second, Graham Zusi is not replacing LD. But thanks for playing. Why is this the quote that everyone trots out? I know it's "sensational" journalism. But it's kinda laughable.
^^^ What a hilarious article. I'm not sure what that author has been watching but Zusi will not be replacing Donovan, in fact he's been pretty average for the USMNT. Graham Zusi should count himself lucky for being in the same rooms as a legend like Robbie Keane, another player he won't supersede in international football. Graham Zusi is good in the MLS but if the US pool was really producing similar talent as other countries he wouldn't get a sniff of the 1st XI.
That article is quite a joke. Seems Nancy might just have a little crush on Zusi. Can't take this piece seriously at all.
What the ******** does Keane have to do with Zusi? Jesus, what a terrible article and this is coming from a huge fan of Zusi.
Well, you know how this country rolls, in order to bring someone up, you have to tear someone else down.
That's the part that bugs me the most. Why the hell do you need to include Keane in this piece AT ALL?
Oh, it doesn't bother me. So maybe Robbie is our cranky prima donna, if (big if) the article is accurate. I say embrace it.
Who cares? Sure we know Robbie just hates doing all that media stuff and it really had nothing to do with Zusi. He never looks happy doing interviews. He always gives curt textbook answers and looks like he's in a hurry to get out of there. Also, he rarely looks happy anyway, so it's pretty likely that a fluff-piece journalist busy waxing poetic on the soccer giant that is Graham Zusi can't really be expected to accurately portray anything in a few throwaway lines about Robbie Keane. Really the only thing we can be sure of is that the author seemed likely she would be able to properly label Robbie Keane in photo caption, so that's a positive.
Keane only looks happy when he scores. Robbie, do us all a favor and make yourself VERY happy tomorrow. You deserve it, and you need SOME reward for all that tiring arm-waving and yelling at the ref. Get the good stuff tomorrow.
It always looks like he's clearing the ball in (somewhat) the (rather loose) direction of the goal to me.
Apparently LAG will not release Robbie for a couple of meaningless Ireland friendlies outside the FIFA international dates. Maybe we grew up while I wasn't looking? http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/4961...-keane-ruled-out-of-england-and-georgia-games
