Roy Keane has been found guilty on two charges of bringing the game into disrepute at his FA hearing at the Reebok Stadium today. The penalties for both charges are yet to be decided. http://www.soccernet.com/england/news/2002/1015/20021015mufckeane.html
Keane gets 5 match ban and £150,000 fine. Starting from November 4th so would mean he would miss City, West Ham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal. He has 14 days to appeal this.
He'll be available for the match against Arsenal. His ban includes the games you mentioned & the Worthington Cup match against Leicester City.
He may be match fit. Because since this is a English FA penalty, wouldn't he still be eligible for Champion's League?
I read this morning that Alex was hoping to bring him back for the Liverpool game. So, providing they don't appeal against the FA's ban, then he'll only effectively miss this one match. The situation then is that Alex will bring him back for the Leverkusen game which he hopes will be a gentle workout as one point from the next two CL matches will mean Utd are already through to the next round and the Bayer game will be meaningless.
they've missed him and it'll be good to finally have him back. Pity he's gonna miss the manchester derby (nov 9th) that would have been good to watch and a good test of his character.
