Well with all the excitement going on about the stadium issues, this thread has been a little late to start. We've got Dallas coming here on Sunday, and it's been repeated 1000 times, but every game from here on out is important. Hopefully our guys are ready to take on the top team in the West. I think we've always matched up well with Dallas, but this is probably their most talented team ever. They are coming off a tough US Open Cup loss to Houston, and might not be playing their best soccer right now though. I smell an opportunity. Hopefully EJ and Jose B Jr are looking for some revenge this weekend, as being in PHP for that last second loss earlier in the season was extremely disheartening.
SUCK! I thought this was a Saturday game...am going to be in town on Saturday, but not Sunday. I can't believe I've only made the home opener this year...
Combine a Chiefs game on Saturday night with the toad-drowning deluge that is being forecast for the weekend, and the field will be in lovely condition come Sunday. And I'm going camping with my son the next two nights. Woohoo.
I'm pretty much in Kirksville for the rest of the season, I might be able to make the last home game or something like that. So much for my trying to goto a game every month.
I meant to comment on this earlier. Have they ever cancelled/postponed a game due to NFL inflicted pitch damage?
I guess we'll just have to keep the attack outside the hashmarks. No plays going through the middle of the field. Let make sure we don't tear up the field for the Chefs though.....
finally getting back to soccer. had a wedding last weekend that i couldn't get out of (as in "not without my girlfriend ripping my berries off). and i will be working until 5 or 6, so i might miss the tailgate but will be at the game.
Ya'll should pound us. We were terrible on Wednesday. I was thinking about making the trip, but after driving down to Houston in consecutive weeks to see the team lay complete goose eggs there's not a chance I'm going up there this weekend.
no excuses... i made that drive in 2 hours 15 minutes flat... course, that was late at night and no cops... but yeah, 5 years of going there and i always was able to pull it in less than 3 hours... (you aren't going the slow way through Columbia, are you?)
For crying out loud!! mlslive.tv isn't carrying the game, AGAIN! This is ticking me off . . . have they simply deemed KC not worth the time?? At least the forum is available to keep me informed . . .
Well your anger is misdirected. It should be directed at the owners of both of our teams who are too cheap to broadcast the game, MLS simply puts the broadcasts online.
well I was there around 4:30 and right after I got there tornado sirens went off, but after some rain that died down, it was fine.
