If you can at all get the money, go to the game!!! We need 100+ in section 127 (the new 114).

    See you all there.

I honestly know very little about DCs team this year with the exception of a certain Adu guy playing for them. But I don't care, cause we're in the Cup.

I'm a big fan of Tony Meola I would love to see him win another championship even if its watching from the bench...

But I do believe that DC United will win this game and add a 4th star to the jersey.. They are super Hot right now and woke up at the right time they turned it on the last month of the season and are still going strong...

I do expect it to be a good game and I hope I'm not wrong...

sorry KC fans some thing inside me says DC wins it...

The Star had a little bit this morning about certain Wizards having "insider" info on D.C. after having played with Novak.

By the way...today is my dog's 10th birthday!!

    Hot right now?

What about being hot all season, except for a few games in August? We've been the better team over the season. But all it comes down to is who better on Sunday.

Mods - I move that all non-Wizards fans posts be moved into a seperate thread for visitors and trolls.

It is just so great to see this thread. Brings a smile to my face.

On to the game: we played DC twice this year and split the series. But the game at DC wasn't on TV at all, so does that game even really count? Then with the Adu-augmented crowd in KC, we took home the victory. Sure, DC has played well recently, but guess what, KC has also played well recently. DC is coming off a game in which they gave up 3 goals at home. KC is coming off 2 home games that were both shutouts. Both teams are going to be gunning for it, obviously, but this has been a great year for the Wizards. Only a short bad stretch in August and a few bad games in late-May and early-June have held down this team.

We've got Davy back on track, Diego is leading this team, Bo is just ballin' back there in Meola's abscence. Preki who? Klein who? This team is gonna go all the way and take it home.

For all of you going to the game who didn't go back in 2000, you are in for a freaking treat. That game at RFK was so much fun - just witnessing a national championship is fantastic, and to see our team win was just the biggest sports event I've witnessed. So have fun, and cheer on those fantastic boys in blue we've watched all season!

I was able to watch the game on and off last night and I'll say it was pretty entertaining, but lacking anything that put fear into my heart of the Wizards losing this game. Of course, this is a championship game, and anything can happen, but I'm not that nervous. After a USOC title, a Supporters Shield (No one will ever convince me it solely belongs to C-Bus, especially since they flamed out. We win the Cup, we win the treble in my eyes) it's tough not to go into this game with a ton of confidence, and I'm sure the players feel this too. They've put together one of the better complete seasons in MLS history, been effective, potent, dominating, motivated, and overcome injuries that should have sent this team down the tubes. How do you lose your playmaker, a top scorer

If they win, they might not go down as the best team ever to take an MLS field, but they've done everything they've needed to get the job done. Good offense, good defense, goal oriented, efficient team. I'll go ahead and say they're the Patriots of the MLS.

Think DC is hot? What about the Wizards? I mean coming back from a two goal deficite against SJ at home, then not having a let down which they very well could have done against LA in the conference final. I think KC has just as much, if not more momentum going into this game then DC does. Go Wizards.

About the game in DC, Andy weren't you at that game? If so, that's probably why we lost, the Andy Mead curse. ;)

Is Tony Meola man enough to step aside (assuming he is healthy enough to play) on Sunday? After all....

I tried to talk my dad into letting me go and him come with me. He didn't really go for that. Said I needed to stay at school and do work

I just thought of something. Earlier this season, the Wizards community lost OBartleby to a sudden passing. How about we go out to LA this weekend and win one for him. What a way to honor a great fan who would surely be enjoying this Cup run. Actually, I am sure he is enjoying it! He'll be looking down on us Sunday, so let's go out there and give him something to cheer about.

I'm not a religious man so I'm not sure about the whole "looking down on us" stuff, but he crossed my mind yesterday when I was driving to StL from KC. All I could think was that he'd being saying, "You'd better be in LA, cheering your head off!"
So, when all of us are in LA Sunday, a little part of each of our voices will be OBartleby's.

    We miss you man...

I like this idea. Maybe make a few signs to hold during the game?

Sent something to Justin Gorman. Maybe Rob and Eric will mention him on the broadcast.

That's awesome. Hopefully at least some mention of this could get out there, maybe not on the ABC broadcast, but something on the Wizards website would be a possibility.

We always play well at the Depot Center. The only difference is DC will lose instead of LA.

    Go Wizards!

Why Andy? You are always on United's Boards, sometimes even making valuable commentary.
