    Four games
    Four games with leads
Four games in which we lost our first half lead

Why aren't we 4-0, or at least 3-0-1?

Shoudnt this have been titled "post match thread".

Anyway, it's a nasty trend. I've seen every Crew game this year, and the only good thing I can say, is that we didnt make them look as good their other opponents have.

I thought both teams had some good chances.

Anyone still think Fabbro is better than Simu?

Brown is reminding me more and more of Paul Wright.

I think Dunseth is still trying to figure out what Preki did to him in the first half, too bad he botched the finish.

In the end, we should feel lucky to have the point.

I never was a fan of Fabbro, I always saw Igor as more creative and more willing to work and I would always play Igor over Dario.

If a soccer game was 45 minutes long, in the end we should be 4-0. But its not and they need to start playing a whole 90 minutes as people have said a billion times.

I posted this on the "pre-match" thread as well:

A few questions regarding this guy. One, why the heck are we still subbing this guy in when we need a goal? He spends more time losing the ball and complaining about how he fell down than trying to score. Second, why the heck is he still on our team? You have go to be kidding me if this is the best senior international that we can find in the whole world. There has got to be someone else somewhere in the world.

Also, I thought that Gomez looked better than he has in a long time last night. He wasn't perfect but he was definitly better than his usual lack luster performances.

I changed the name of the thread to be the post game thread.

Even though they scored to save a point in the dying minutes, I'm still getting very worried about this team. Each week now we've heard them say that they must learn to play with and keep a lead. I think someone forgot to slice the oranges for halftime because we've come out lame the last two games right after the half.

Thank god we pulled the game out of the crapper for at least a point. One point in two home games, not good.

you know it was a good game when both teams message boards have thread that are not favorable.

It is amaising that in the preseason Bob was so happy about the defensive cohesiveness but look at it now. It is all shot to hell that is for sure.

Can someone explain to me why the hell KZ has been snubbed from the lineup? The guy finally gets the start and woeks his ass off in the midfield. Disrupting play, intercepting passes thus starts counter attacks. What the hell was Bob thinking.

I know everyone out there love's Chris Brown but why not take him off instead of Igor. We are not even 2 months into the season and he has already gone to the pot. Then again I guess it didn't matter who came off because neither one of them were playing there best.

Good to see Steven Armstrong getting some pt. And did Chris Klien play Sat night? I wasn't drunk but I rarely saw him do anything.

No, and I'm kinda pissed that it was merged/renamed.

I wanted to talk about the season in total, not just the last game.

    Points and Points Recovered

    * Thank god we pulled a point out of this.
    * Z must be on the field.
    * Armstrong needs to be on the field.
    * The above two are active pests on the field for the other team.
    * Fabbro does not need to be on the field. Time to start searching for a new target forward SI or not.
    * Brown is like a washed up DH on a bad baseball team. Won't run out first base if he grounds to the infield but occasionally hits the shot that "makes you go Hmmmm". Note to Chris - Not every pass will be perfect. If it's not, pressure on the defender can go your way at times. At least apply pressure and make him hurry a pass or flub it all together.
    * Thank you Quill.
    * $1 Brat's Rocks!
    * Garcia/Gomez was basically pulled down from behind (shoulders) on the first C'Bus goal series in our own box. Should've been a call, but they let play continue to McBride.
    * Unlucky for Tony to stack the pads and have it bounce right to Martino who cooly chipped it 30 yards out perfectly.

Sorry about that, check your PMs. I wanted to get a postgame thread up, and I thought your original post was going down that road. Usually its easy to tell what someone is trying to start a topic about. I'll try to be more careful if there is any question in the future.

There is a season in total thread (all 4 games) here:

Very true and he missed the crucial fact that Gomez gave the ball away in midfield on the second goal.

Yes, Garcia got out paced and Meola's clearance was piss-poor. But Gomez's errant pass caused all the trouble.

He is like a crab in midfield, sideways only. Or behind his teammate.

It isn't just poor defending that's put us in this position. Very poor possession in midfield is very worrying.

What about Jose Burciaga? He obviously looked in pain, and looked upset. Then in the article in the Star he said "I feel little pain, but its serious". When someone finds out let us all know. I have a feeling we lost him for a while.
If so do we stick with three in the back, or go to four? I say stick with three:

    Meola
    Garcia-Talley-Conrad
    Zavagnin-Gurierrez
    Klein-Preki-Quill/Armstrong
    Wolff/Brown-Igor/Armstrong

But for the love of god this means Brunt is giong to see time. I sure hope Bobs right about this guy and he has improved from last season.

"Wizards back row comes unglued in the second half again
    By DAVID BOYCE
    The Kansas City Star

As poorly as the Wizards' back row of Nick Garcia, Jimmy Conrad and Jose Burciaga played early in the second half, it got worse for them in the 62nd minute."

Thats the title and the first sentence in the article. Granted the article gets nicer, but Boyce would have never written anything even that negative two seasons ago. I'm not defending him, I still think hes a puppet, but at least he gave a little more realistic account than in previous years.

i can not believe that Brown played the full 90. Can someone please explain to me why we took off Igor instead of Brown?

I can not believe Nicks horrible mistake. He has to think faster and better than that if he wants to be the anchor in our defense. If he can't we should move him out to the right and give Conrad/Talley a try there in the middle.

Doesn't bode well at all for his fledgling National Team career.

I must admit that I have NOT been a huge fan of Preki in the preseason, questioning his age and ability but I must admit my mistake. Wow. This guy leads the league in points, this season and career. He continues to confound the defenders with his left footed moves. This being said (now I get to save a little face) how can you miss high on a shot from 6 yards out when you're one on one with the keeper. You could tell Preki wanted that shot back as soon as he took it. (Can you take something and still want it back?)

    1. People have been questioning Preki's age for at least three years now. Some have questioned his age for about five years. They'll learn that it doesnt matter how old God is, he's still the best. :)

    2. He missed because a) he tried to chip the keeper and b) it was his right foot.

And 3. Armstrong was standing "square" from him right in front of the goal. Preki chose to shoot.

I must revoke my comments about him as well as he is showing more than I thought he would this year. So from now on he goes back to being Preki in my suggested lineups instead of Priki. ;)

Best move of preki of the game was when he cut to his right. Everybody on the feild, in the press box, the benches and in the stands didn't see that one coming. I am pretty sure somewhere in the universe a star exploded and thousands of people died because of it.

Well I say Nick is to blame for his mess up. He had a chance to clear the ball but instead went with another dribble. For the love of god Nick you are not a Brazilian clear the damn ball. Just curious as to why Nick just stopped after Tony kicked it?

This must be a trait of Lamar's franchises because Crew fans are sorta asking the same thing about matches the club did not win.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before...but, when they interviewed KZ on KC Kicks...he said this "I left for a couple of days, and when I came back, I had lost the starting position, I don't know what happened."

read into that what you will.

The KC Star article has Quill's goal as a header! Actually it was a missed header by Hejduk that dropped directly in front of Quill who took a nice shot. Seems both teams had giveaway goals.

Was the wind gusty in the last 20mins? It appeared that the ball fooled more than one player.
