That was the "just a tie-breaker away" part of his post.

A few of us DC fans come onto your boards bearing compliments and we have abuse heaped upon us?

    Oh, the humanity!

    Seriously, congratulations.

I didn't see any of the game until after Arnaud's first goal and it was fairly boring for a long stretch. But so what! Killing off an opponent doesn't have to look pretty.

Nice work from Arnaud, nice to see Oshoniyi getting some of the spotlight. Good job getting it done without Preki, Meola or Klein. And nice crowd, too.

I'll be screaming myself hoarse tomorrow night at RFK and hope we play you next week.

Zotinca's second yellow of the playoffs (one in the first game)? I haven't been able to find the rules on this but like Kovalenko and Nelsen will he miss a game?

Congrats, guys. You all own us, I will be the first to say so. But be careful @ MLS Cup...either one of those teams could take you guys down. However, I will congratulate you, the new Western Conference Champs.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Wizards and their fans. Your team simply outclassed us at every position for 90 full minutes. Best of luck next week at our house.

I seriously feel for y'all that missed the game. It was AWESOME! I KNEW Davy was due. We had so many great chances. Two games in a row now, we had to beat both our opponents AND the officiating.

GREAT Turnout too. Anybody see the final count?

    California here we come!

Thank you Wizards! Nothing better than beating LA to go to the Cup.

Unless it is doing that while keeping LA from playing for a championship on their home pitch!

To paraphrase an LA band: "I want to party on your [pitch] baby!" :D

Thanks to everyone who yelled their hearts out with me in The Cauldron tonight. I know I'll see quite a few of you in the Home Depot Center next Sunday!

    WE ARE...

    KC WIZ!!!

Looked more than that, and not much of a return on the $5 tickets.

Still, they made some noise and helped spur their team on to vitory. Fair enough.

More sensible refereeing this game too I'll note. Last week's KC debacle spurred a complaint to the commissioner.

    HDNet Rocks!
