Isn't it amazing the options we have available in 2003 that were not even an option say in 2000? Its nice to finally have access to almost every single game in some way. Boy we've come a long way from watching the 1997 playoffs in Colorado on Channel 38 in KC. :)

I know it's only 4 minutes into the game, but we are looking pretty sloppy.....

    Correction:
Nice chance by Igor as I type this.

    I'll shut up now.

Just don't get out to a big lead like 4-0. It only makes San Jose mad. :(

Definately don't like the way this game is playing so far. The Wizards are showing signs of life, but this game is clearly being dominated by San Jose.

What the hell?!?! No cards again? Talley gets shoved in a dead ball situation in the 23rd, then Donovan is throwing elbows in the 30th. Figured we would have gotten some cards by now with two clearly cardable offenses, but nothing. Not that KC hasn't been doing anything wrong, but it's all disguised fouls whereas San Jose's are all agressive dead-ball very visible things.

nothing really happened in the first half.

Wizards with the better chances, SJ with more chances. Its a push so far.

    Thoughts:
What the hell is up with Talley's goatie?
    Armstrong doesn't look bad.
Igor better make up for missing a 1 on 1 early.
SJ is taking the game to us over the last 15 minutes, what are we going to do to change that?
45 of the most important minutes in Wizards history left since 2000!

    GO WIZ!

Someone needs to teach Donovan how to dive, his last try was really pathetic.

Well it's seemed like a back and forth game, with the Quakes getting the majority of the chances, but KC seeming to get the better ones (ie, Igor early). The Wizards have me worried right now, and I don't know how much longer we can allow the Quakes to come at us like they are without conceding a goal. Personally I think that both Armstrong and Donovan should have a yellow right now for their altrication that lead to the shoving match. Yeah and I agree with Lucid, what was up with the dead ball situation with Talley and Agoos. You hear Preki calling for a red there (LOL). It has been a back and forth half and that it's been dominated by the Quakes the last 15 min or so of the half.

Totally agreed. Pretty much what you would expect by an offensive possession team versus a counter-attack team.

I guess Landon Donovan's favorite album would be Steve Winwood's "Arc of a Diver". Have many dives did he take during the first half? Someone should start keeping stats on his dives. And how about that very stylish one near the goal line just before the end of the half.

You know, if little hothead played in Europe he would get red carded just for the dives -- not to mention the elbows.

But then again, he doesn't play in Europe because he is a little hot head. If he keeps up this kind of attitude throughout his career, he will never be the superstar everyone claims he already is.

One other thing, it would be nice if FSW would actually put someone on who can CALL the game. Everything Max and what's his name say during the game is all pre-game material. Maybe they should do pre-game shows and get it out of their system. And then actually, CALL THE GAME!

Would you rather not be watching the game at all? I'll be the first to say that FSW is on the wrong side of ghetto, but better than nothing eh?

Well, I would rather be watching. It would be great if I could turn off the sound and turn on a radio broadcast from local sources.

It just gets annoying. Obviously these two guys are reporters and fans of the game. They just need to describe what is going on in the game and keep their emotions in check. Being emotional is for us fans watching.

And I am thankful that FSW exists and I can watch not only this game but many other soccer/futbol games. Without FSW, I would have nothing.

Can only get scared that it might have come too early though. I would have prefered a score in the 85th miinute to go up 1-0 cause that can be just what Yallop wanted to ignite this offense.

    But still... very happy! :D

Walker just misses an equalizer. I'm already sweating with this lead.
