Probable lineups for Wednesday night at the Cotton Bowl:

    Jordan
    Bonseau-Broome-Morrow-Suarez
    Vaca-Deering-Martinez-Kreis
    Cerritos-Rhine

    Subs - D-Percy Oliverez, M-Eddie Johnston, F-Ronnie O'Brien and Oscar Pareja

    Meola
    Garcia-Talley-Burns
    Klein-Gomez-Zavagnin-Quill
    Igor-Preki-Armstrong

Subs - McKeon, Brown, Brunt, PV?, Arnaud(he is from Texas, maybe he gets a shot. Garcia, Quill, and Burciaga Jr. are too!

    A few thoughts:
*Meola needs to have a great 90 minutes tonight. *Don't look for Klein to make unlimited runs as he must deal with Eddie johnston late.
*Kreis has been shutout the last few games and Cerritos has been producing finally.
*Dallas is giving up two goals a game over the last 4. This and Jordan is playing very well.
*Preki is move overdue than Kreis
*The series stands at 0-0-3. The winner takes it and the tiebreaker that goes with it.
*Dallas only got a tie last week on a 92nd minute very fortunate deflection out front that Morrow hammered into the top left corner before anyone even moved. They were beaten pretty badly by Colorado most of the game.

He's been with Dallas for 3=4 games now and hasn't even appeared in every game. Limited minutes at the end only.

Actually, he played a full 90 vs. San Jose and 100+ vs. Atlanta in Open Cup play. In MLS, three games - one appearance as a sub for 20+ minutes, one full 90 start, and one game without any minutes.

This is a big game for both teams. A win by the Blues puts them back into the hunt; a victory for the Burn has them nipping at SJ's heels at the All-Star break.

If Fabbro is available vs. the Burn, I say bring him on in the 2nd half as fresh legs in the heat of Dallas. The lineup vs. the Quakes moved the ball effectively and looked very dangerous at times. No need to change a winning lineup!

Hey Wizcharter, Preki is suspended for this match. I guess yellow card accumulation.

Looking into the Preki suspension, aparently it is for violent behavoir. When this happened is beyond me. The Wizards web site is shyte and doesn't even have prematch report or any info on the game.

Do you think we can not allow more than 2 goals with a 3-4-3

Actually it is a 3-5-2! And we Held San Jose to one goal on Sat night playing that way.

My two keys to the game.
#1 Tony needs to get back into form.
#2 Cisco has to play like he did on Sat night spraying balls around the park and through defenders legs. If he doesn't I don't know who is going to step up and be creative.

Now that I think about, it even if our forwards get the chances they need to start finishing. That means you Brownie and Quill!

With Fabbro not making the trip, this might be close to the starting 11.

However, Gansler is more likely to bring in Brown, doh!

That would push Klein further back and Brown in front of him, Arnaud to the bench and Armstrong up front with Igor.

But Igor could play behind the front two and play Brown up front. Either way I think Brown will play. But I prefer your line-up.

I look at it this why give Davy a chance. Brown really hasn't done squat and doesn't look like he is going too either.

Oh I agree. I would like to see what Arnaud has to offer. I just don't think Gansler will select him over Brown. Maybe arnaud will get at least 45 minutes tonight.

I say that it is entirely possible that Amaud gets to see some limited action tonight. I don't think that he will get to see 45 minutes. He has been on the brink of playing many times this season, and if Quill or Brown isn't producing then in comes Amaud.

did Arnaud play earlier this year? Maybe against W Connection (the away game that we didnt see)? It was that or pre season but I remember hearing about a brilliant assist he had...so obviously he CAN do something

Without Preki and Fabbro, can we expect the Wizzers to play VERY defensively on the road tonight in the heat? It's sounding like a very slow and dull game tonight.

I wouldn't necessarily expect that... the heat can't be any worse than it was in KC on Saturday against the Earthquakes.

And if you go back a few weeks to the game against New England, we played that game w/o Preki and managed 4 goals. (Granted, that *was* against the Revs...)

Am I just hopelessly optimistic? Guess we'll find out in a couple of hours....

I didn't catch that game. One of the few I've missed all year. What powered the KC O that night?

Well Klein scored two, and Igor got two assists. So statistically they showed up best. IMO it was a great team performance with Igor playing some great passes in for Klein to run onto.

I don't expect to see Klein that far forward tonight. But hopefully he will be.

Gomez has to be more of a playmaker tonight or Igor plays deeper and provides that creativity.

Zavagnin has to continue to break up their attacks and start quick counter attacks that Quill and Klein can capitalise on out wide and then bring in Armstong and Igor with quick one-twos, etc.

Should be another close match, with one goal deciding it.
