Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame I didn't see Garcia get a card. I did see Burciaga get one. Sometimes I really hate this team. We're not bunkering, but just once, it'd be nice to release the hounds and just bury a team. Who cares if they get one or two on the back side. The Wizards have the talent to score a ton of goals. I mean we're already on a 15 tie pace, why do we sit around and wait for teams to score. We've shown time and time again this season we can't protect a lead. We might as well go double it. Let's pen them back in their end instead of sucking up pressure in ours. Oh, and Ryan Pore and Scott Sealy have been shite.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame who is playing right back? also - i totally agree that we need to attack. kerry was quoted about our lack of a killer instinct and that has been a problem ever since Gansler took over. i know that i do this a lot, but its just like fighting - you cant let someone hang around and survive. if you have the skill to take them out you have to do it. i have seen several great fighters beaten because they got arrogant, they thought judges or points or some nonsense would save them because of their superior skill and a lesser fighter knocks them out with one good round/punch/choke hold... maybe soccer isnt like martial arts, but i think the idea that a superior team should recognize weakness and attack with unrelenting ferocity. France 98, Brazil (well always), etc. are teams that early on establish their superiority with possession and then refuse to relent until they have won. we have to start playing like that or else we are going to remain mid-table and have to fight it out in the playoffs. new england and dallas are the two best teams but neither of them are so far superior to us that we should be this many points behind. we have to feast on the weaker teams like Columbus, Chivas, Colorado, Real, etc. on the 19th, i am looking for us to have a big crowd, and a big win. if we go up a goal early and then play defense for 60 minutes we are going to be doing our team, fans, and chances of intimidating other teams a great disservice.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame Jeezus. Someone remind me again. Which team has 11 players, and which has 10? Sheesh.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame Colorado is worse than Columbus. Only Chivas has more losses. Columbus has more losses than the other expansion team.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame Actually we attacked in MLS Cup. We just never got the goal. This is the pissy 2001-2002 Wizards all over again. Except that the current team has more talent than we've ever had before. ----- And we're conceding corner kicks....
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame Ref gets in the way. Cross handled well in danger by CAnnon. Cunnngham looks dangerous but blocked out of bounds by Thomas.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame And now we just bunker for the tie. ********ING attack we're the team with a man up
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame And they rightfully punish us for it. This has been building since about five minutes after Klein scored. Hopefully, we'll take the game a bit more seriously. Oh look. Suddenly we get shot. ******** me. Where was that attack for the last 30 minutes? ------ Another couple of ties and I'm starting another Gansler Must Go thread.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame As 2002 showed us in Kansas City, and 2004 and 2005 has shown Columbus fans, there's no firing the head coach. So actually wishing the team would lose three or four in a row to force a change is futile. Oh, and now we're trailing.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame Damn it. Our team is so frustrating, we don't seem to have that killer instinct, CO was down a man and down a goal, and we sit back and defend the lead. We should have gone for the kill instead, I'm tired of our team always just sitting back and taking the punishment when more often then not we need to continue to attack.
Re: KC @ Colorado Pregame they really do make being a fan difficult. "song number one is not a ************ you song...." anyone?
