Not that I saw anything, but two road wins in a row make me feel a lot better about blowing the Revs game at home. I can'e believe we got a PK in the 92nd
Great job Andy. Appreciate it. Everyone, do as I did and add to Andy's rep. So, who's got the answer? When was the last time we won two road games in a row? More importantly three games in a row, since we're going to win this weekend with 20 of us fans there.
Alriggggghhhht. Sorry I missed the PBP. My Hi-def isn't close to a computer. Absolutely perfect ending to the game. Legit PK. Our guys were tired, but keep on keepin on. MOM Davy Arnaud in my opinion. Won so many more balls than I've ever seen him win. All over the field. I actually was going to come on talking crap on wolff, but of course as always, shows up when I'm writing him off.
Colorado amazingly only had one guy kicked out, but it seemed like if one more player got one, anyone would've been out. Spencer's a piece of crap. Klein did dive though earlier. Not really what I like to see from our guys. Wolff however definitely got fouled. Borchers was toast like 8 times in that game. I love the tenacity and the energy. We were definitely more tired. In the 60th minute I thought we were done. Then we finally got a really good scoring chance (we had a ton) and it perked us back up. Gomez and Walsh were not good though walsh improved as the game went on. Garcia was good for the most part. Had a few poor touches, but if Wolff had ran a couple out in the first half, Garcia would have an assist.
Would like to point out the irony that a KC player released from the Nat squad due to the cRapids dissing il Bruce scored the game winning goal, and the other posted a clean sheet
I love sticking it to Denver in everything. Those KU fans in the house can enjoy this on all fronts. 1. We beat the Crapids, ending their 16 game home unbeaten streak. 2. We stuck it to Hankinson. Kerry was the difference in midfield and Tony had a great game after a few loose balls. Fittingly Wolff bends Hanky over for the final blow. All will earn callups again with today's performance. 3. We won at Mile High, which to me is partially like slapping Horseface around for one more go. 4. The Rapids are owned by a Stan Kroenke. He is also the funding behing Paige Sports Arena for MU, and personally pays the payroll of the MU Men's Basketball Team (that ain't cheap!). All in all 3 feels much better than 1, and I think I'm going to go troll for a bit. just kidding mods. Charter. You better be figuring out your smack for the rivalry boards asap.
http://www.ibiblio.org/footy/wiz/ it appears to be April 19, 2000 at MetroStars (the lothar armband game) April 29, 2000 at Colorado (5-0, the last time Gansler let the dogs out) We also be Tampa at home between those games.
Meola 6 - came up big when he had to. Garcia 7 - wow. he was everywhere. he is motivated to get back to the national team Thomas 6 - solid. for all the crap Johnson takes, this was an awesome trade Conrad 5 - nothing to good, nothing too bad Burciaga 5 - coming along nicely. incredible passing for a defender -- Zotinca n/r - late sub all but invisible Klein 4 - couple good throughballs, but really seems out of sorts. Not an awful game by any stretch Walsh 3 - yuck -- Gomez 3 - shoulda left Walsh in Zavagnin 5 - the man in the middle. Had maybe one bad touch all night. If he had a-mid skills, he'd be playing for Real Madrid in a couple of years Gutierrez 7 - great game, if Meola gets called up, this man has to wear the armband Arnaud 6+ - works hard, very Johnston-esque, still an unfinished product. Coulda had a couple assists AND a couple of goals if Wolff has played tonight. Wolff 4 - earning and converting the PK kept him from getting a 3. the invisible parts were better than the parts when he was involved.
Looking back we also won two in a row in '98. In '97 we had two streaks we won 5 in a row early and 3 in a row a month later.
Woo Hoo!!! Thanks for the PbP Andy. After watching some games, and the play by play tonight, I would agree with Andy in the fact that we are one of the best teams in the league in controling play, we just don't have that last little bit of effort to finish it. At least we had more then are like 3 chances against LA this weekend. I don't really feel like going back and counting, but it seemed like there were a lot of cards handed out in the second half.
And with the CJ Brown/Ryan Suarez rule in effect, even if Bruce were to call him in late, he'd then have to sit out the next game he's with the Rapids. Either way, he's not going to play against DC.
