    Will be on HDNet.

Wizards are currently in 4th place in the East. Chicago is in 6th place in the East (with a game in hand on us), currently on the outside looking in on a playoff spot. Chicago have not won at home in the league since June 3 against Columbus.

Watch parties? Someone in the know post them. I'm guessing the Embassy.

However, I will be in Lawrence, Kansas for the Coalesce show at the Bottleneck that night. Anyone know a place in Lawrence that might be showing the game? Thanks.

I would assume Embassy for a watch party.

    History is against us here.

Hopefully we will get at least a half out of Eloy in this one. He gave us a spark in his only appearance, and considering he did not play last night, Chicago won't know what to do with him and he will be fresher than everybody else. Maybe having a game to sit and watch also gave Carlos some new perspective and he gets back on his game.

I will be curious to see how Chicago's lineup changes. They just signed a new defender from South America, who is only sitting out until his visa comes through. Might we see a completely different defense this time? Segares is definitely out, so there will be at least one new face on the back line. Hopefully whoever we have in place of Jose can keep up with Mapp if he continues to play on that side--he burned Jose on more than one occasion with his speed and footwork.

I would be happy with any points we can get in this one. A win would be great, but a tie still keeps us at arm's length. It would be nice if we could get a winning string started going into RSL next week and put some more padding in between us and those on the outside looking in.

We just need someone that knows that Mapp 90% of the time goes to his left, he has very little right foot.

You would think it would be easier to mark a guy who is so one-sided, but Preki proved that's not always the case! Hopefully Mapp will go back to his natural side and Jack can mark him (assuming he is back in the starting lineup). I think Jack's 1v1 skills are getting better with every game. If Mapp was put on the right to take advantage of Jose's mediocre defensive skills, that was a great tactical move. Anybody with decent speed and a good first move can get around Jose with little problem.

Re: KC at Chicago - Can we double up?

Is there any doubt that it won't be Harrington? I'd love for him to stay in the midfield, but he's probably our best option.

    My guess:

    ---------------El Gato de Salvador--------------
    ----JJ------Groin-------Nicky-------Harrington--
    ---------------------Zags----------------------
    --Davy--------------Carlos------------Sasha---
    -----------Scott---------------EJ--------------

I don't necessarily want to see Scott start up top because he frustrates me, but he netted one last game, so his confidence might be on the rise. If he can use it, we might see the Scott from years past. Also, I can't remember who we shifted over when Harrington played left back for a couple games. Was it Sasha?

They'll be at home, looking for some major revenge, and our history doesn't bode well for us. However, 3 goals last night may have put some faith back in our attackers.

Still, I think the best we pull out is a tie: 2-2.

You might be right, although I think Raybould took over for Jose when he last missed a game, so that's another option. I doubt CO will bench Michael two games in a row, so you're lineup might be right on the money.

    1) Coalesce! Sweet!

    2) The Red Lyon Tavern at 9th and Mass will probably carry it.

    The game is on HDNet.

If the Red Lyon has HD televisions, then Lawrence has changed quite a bit since I was there.

    Good = quality picture
Bad = Celo with his "you know what?"
Ugly = Davis mispronouncing Movsisyan over and over

I think it would be awful hard to bench Burciaga after he just picked up a goal & 2 assists...

:D it's true though, I believe I watched the world cup there in HD...I think they have two of them...now, I think they're on Sunflower Cable, so they might not have HDNet...whoever's watching it there might call first.

You should make last second plans to go. It's a really cheap and reasonable trip with a couple friends to share gas and a hotel room. That's the best HD out there.

The Lyon has an HD widescreen (with HDNet, for that matter) over the door.

Make that two places, with free food & beverage, comfy seating, and a restroom guaranteed not to have a line :p.

Man, they must have started charging for the popcorn to afford those new TVs. :D

I'll have to check it out in a few weeks when I go up there for the "She Wants Revenge" show.

I wonder what kind of effect the weather in Chicago is going to have on the team's travel plans and the game itself. Hopefully they get into and out of Chicago without too many problems.....and a win! :D

Game preview and guide is up. The difference they show in the lineup is Harrington starting with Raybould taking Jose's spot....Sasha back to the bench. Of course, they did show Will John starting in the last game guide, so who knows how accurate this is. It seems fairly logical....somebody is going to have to sit with Scott healthy and getting back in form again. Eloy better play this time around. I get the feeling we are going to need his spark in the second half, based on past results.

BTW, our last road win was 3 months ago (at NE--EJ hat trick). Geez that seems like such a long time ago in a galaxy (not LA) far, far away.......
