Played all 90 min in a 1-2 away win over Lommel. 1 shot 5 clearences 3 of 6 ground duels won 1 of 1 arial duel won 8 possession lost 2 fouls 39 touches 14/18 passing accuracy 2 crosses 1 yellow card. I think that Genk will give him to the end of this season, then either sell him along or release him. He is doing fine, but is not going to break through into the first team at Genk.
genk is usually one of the top teams in belgium. do you think he can play in the top flight in belgium for another team
I think he could play for one of the lower table JPL or most CPL teams, but the question is why would he. Prior to arrival in Genk he played 27 total matches over three season with SKC. He only had less than 1500 minutes of MLS minutes. I think, and can only assume that he was brought over by Genk to either push into the 1st team or develop and sell. Is he doing ok, yes. Enough for a Belgian team to take a flyer at him if they need a competent right back, probably. But he is going to age out of the Jong Genk squad at the end of this season. His contract does not expire until the end of June 2028, so three more years. I think that he does have another level in him, and it could be in Belgium or elsewhere in Europe, but he needs to be more consistent in his play. He is essentially on a MLS NEXT Pro team in the USL Championship.

FT | Beerschot blijft ongeslagen door de competitie razen! 🏎 #GNKBEE pic.twitter.com/CLqa7QrMTT— DAZN België (@DAZN_BENL) September 23, 2025 You can see Pierre on both goals, while not involved in either of them, just watch the body language.
Kayden with an assist in just the second minute today. Stop reading here if you like good news. Afterward, red card to one of Jong Genk's CBs and they concede four straight to lose 4-1. Pierre one of the top rated players in the fiasco.
Pierre plays the whole match for Jong Genk in a 5-0 loss to RFC Liege. Sounds pretty bad. FotMob 4.6 for Pierre, but three players somehow had worse.
Played 90 min in a 3-1 win over Francs Borains 1 interception 1 clearance 5 recoveries 2 key passes 33/39 accurate passes 20/28 passes in opposition half 13/14 passes in own half 67 touches 16 possession lost Match rating 6.8
90 min 1-1 draw with RWDM 59 touches 34 passes but only 22 accurate 17 possession lost (they must be factoring in the poor passes) 4 times fouled
Might have been a new low for Pierre and Jong Genk. They lost at home 3-4 to Olympic Charleroi, who won their first match of the season. Pierre had a 5.7 match rating. He is playing each match, but does not really seem to be progressing. To understand how poor Jong Genk played, their keeper had 8 saves, and 7 from shots taken inside the penalty area. Just an FYI for all of the YA's in Belgium, DAZN just pulled out of their streaming deal with the JPL. There have been lots of issues. There is still a massive question if they will stream the remainder of the season, they want to simply walk away. If that happens, the Belgian Clubs will loose a lot of revenue, and look for a fire sale in the winter window.
He played 90 min vs Lierse. They lost 2-1. Pierre had a 6.2 rating, so I guess not as bad in the past few weeks.
Did not play over the weekend, nor was he on the bench for a 2-2 draw with Lokeren. The club plays Beveren today. If he is not in the matchday squad that could mean one of three things, injured, on his way out of the club, or no longer fancied (with the way he has played, this is the most likely).
Back in the starting lineup for a 1-2 loss to league leading Beveren. He actually had his best statically match up in a long time.
Played 90 min in a 0-2 loss to RWDM. He did have a nice clearance in the 1st min of the match that prevented a good scoring chance. This was after a terrible give away, in which Pierre had to make a long recovery run to get back into the correct position as he had pushed forward. Not really involved with either goal conceded, but it seems like his best moment was that one in the 1st min.
Jong Genk beat Eupen today 2-0. This was Pierre's best match in a long time. He was dangerous going forward, and solid on defense.
Very odd match for Pierre as Jong Genk and Patro drew 4-4. He was sort of at fault for the 2nd Patro goal, then kept possession alive for the first Jong Genk goal. Let in the cross on the 3rd Patro goal. The body language around 4:30 says it all.
90 min in a 2-3 loss to Lierse. Not at fault for goal #1, goal number 2 had three Genk players to defend after a poor giveaway about 30 yards from the goal, chose the ball, quick pass outside then across the goalmouth led to the goal. 3rd goal was from a free kick.
Statistically had his best match while in Europe. His overall rating was 8.1. Jong Genk and Club NXT finished 0-0.
