Kayden Pierre at KRC Genk (not KAA Gent)

Jong Genk and Seraing drew 2-2. Pierre played the entire match, but was not really involved.

 

Played the full 90 min in a 1-2 win over Olympique de Charleroi. He also picked up a yellow card.

 

Did not play in a 2-2 draw with Francs Borains. This is the 2nd match in a row when he did not even make the bench. I do not know if he his injured or has been dropped from the Jong Genk squad.

 

He was captain today in a 1-1 draw with Jong Genk. Played the entire match.



Lots of playing time this season and he started all of the matches he played and normally played 90 min. His elevation to captain in a new thing as well. His contract goes through 2 more seasons (June 2028).

 

somewhat surprising, he made his first team debut in an important game and he got an assist!

he was brought on for the conference league playoff final, whichever team won qualified for the conference league. he hasn't even made the bench this entire season, so really surprised he made it and played, and got an assist. unfortunately they conceded a 120' minute equalizer and lost in pens tho so they won't playing in Europe

Sorry I was traveling. Genk had 4 players who were already in national team camps and another three injured. So, was I surprised to see him get the start, very much so. Thanks for highlights.

 

Pierre started the first pre-season friendly of the season, a 1-5 thrashing by Genk of Eendracht Termien. The match was 0-4 in favor of Genk at the half when Pierre came out. Not sure what can be gathered from this match other than he played, and a lower division side did not score while he was in the match.

Yes, he started with the first team, not Jong Genk.

Started again in a 2-1 win over Beveren. Once again each team played 45 min. So I have no idea if he is going to start once the season kicks in, but the fact that he has played in both preseason friendlies so far is a positive thing.

 

I don't think he gets promoted until he plays for the first team in a league match, not just a friendly.

 

He started the last match of the playoffs in the Spring. He had an assist in the loss to Gent.

But that El Ouahdi might be on the way out. Still it surprises me that he is getting min with the first team. He did not have an outstanding season with Jong Genk.

 

Pierre played with the 2nd group, for the last 30 min of a friendly match with Fortuna Sittard.

 

Pierre played with the 2nd group again. He entered in the 60th min of a 3-4 win over Motherwall yesterday.
