Karen Carney has given notice....

    to Arsenal that she wants to play with the Red Stars....hope this comes off. the team is loking good. She is a good player, very attacking.

    Excellent. I'm hoping to see signings start happening in the next month or so. Imo, Chicago has the best of talent in all positions starting with Peter Wilt as president, Marcia McDermott as GM, Emma hayes as Head Coach, quality assistants as well as a support and sales staff that is always on the ball and up front in the community. Can't wait till April.

    I read at buzzle.com that Carney has announced she will leave Arsenal to join Chicago Red Stars. Great news. I am a StL Athletica supporter, but it will be hard for me to root against Karen.

    Did you just call yourself an Athletica supporter? :p

    I liked what I saw of Karen in WWC '07 and Euro '05 and look forward to seeing her in WPS.
