No i'm sure it didn't posh. Anyway, it's better that players want to stay than want to leave. Mendes apparently also said he's happy at spurs

So many rumounrs doing to rounds at the moment, probably truth to a lot of them (in that we're scouting players and asking about availability) though we can only speculate.

Looks like Gardner might be on his way to Charlton for £1.6m (pretty sure this one is true, there has been a bid). That will add to our £20m kitty and i'm sure we'll offload either Freddi or Keano too. Of the two, i'd prefer Freddi to leave. And if the rumours of our bid for Vieri are true then it would appear that he'd be a replacement for Freddi rather than Keane.

So what to do with all this money then?

We only basically need a creative midfielder and we will be ready for the upcoming season.

Exactly. Get rid of Gardner and Kanoute or Keane. Bring in a attack minded mf and we are all set.

Sign Peter 'messiah' Crouch and we'll win all 4 cups this season.

    Crouch, the flamboyant, explosive goal-machine?
Or Crouch, the relegated lanky beanpole who's scored less than 2 dozen top flight goals in his career and played one whole match for england?
Please, he'd be one big gamble

.....I agree. How can he be worth £5 million? I wouldn't mind having him in the squad if we got him for around £2 million.

Why did Southampton reject reported 6 mil offers from the 'ammers and Liverpool? Are they mad?

...they rejected it because it was too much to pay for Crouch. They are waiting on bids below the £2 million mark before they accept anything.

    :p :D
