Just quoting you to say that Nimrata is full-blood (not just "of ____________ heritage", a term which fits Harris). Both Haley's parents are Indian.
But she can pass for white. Yes, Nikki is actually her name, unlike Bobby Ray Jindal, but I wonder how easy it would have been for her to get elected if she went by Nimarata Randhawa.
Not to me she can't. She clears the "caucasian" hurdle, but something gives her away. It would have been impossible.
So, the dirt that the Reps are digging up... Apparently Emhoff had an affair while he was married to his first wife. And Harris knows about his. Such weak sauce. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...dges-reports-affair-first-marriage-rcna165033
I like Walz. I see him as the "safe" bet. If Shapiro does an amazing job campaigning for Harris, we should be able to get better numbers out of PA.
Has any VP choice been as over analyzed as this one? A lot of digital ink has been spilled over the past week. I don't recall ever being this invested in a veep.
Any of these guys could have been a good choice. I hope that the campaign can enlist them to go on tour in key areas and drum up some support, even if they didn't get the VP gig.
Quick apostrophe lesson for the next 8 years. Add an ‘s after their last names. Eg. Harris’s hex nut wrench, Walz’s cat.
One thing that strikes me: both Harris and Walz look like they're having fun. And I haven't seen that since the first Clinton/Gore election. Reagan, Clinton, Obama all won, in part, because they were more upbeat than their opponents.
Just the apostrophe, thanks. "Harris' campaign" Because Walz doesn't actually end in an s, he can have one.
Kamala's opponent might be on to something here .... or not .... surely this will soon get to the intervention stage - although nobody has the ability to influence the lunatic of course.
Either they are real good actors or theyre genuinely “likable” The noticeable differences from both sides are twofold: One side says America should: hope, build, grow, and believe.. the other side says America is: dying, sick, failing (if it is its their own fault but still). Two and something very pronounced is that the Dems seem energized and have effortless energy with their constituents (even papa Biden).. but the GOP side is very labored and forced, very performative… Trump and his ilk look like they “hate” being around people beneath them and just endure their presence because they need them.. a means to an end
