Care to explain how 49 of the 50 states voted for Trump by a greater margin in 2024 than in 2020. Washington state narrowly favored Kamala more.
Economy, mediocre candidate, poor message, and failure to break from perceived Biden failures, among a few reasons. Why had most of these states shifted towards Biden after the 4 years of Trump's first term?
I'm not even American. Things have been going pretty bad for us here in Brazil due to Lula who is a left-wing nutjob. But I don't let that break my stride. You, on the other hand, sound a bit depressed. Read on Reddit some people are taking their lives because of this election. Crazy huh?
Its a big country. Just because 1 or 2 lefties go nuts doesn't mean all 80 million of us are in the same boat. You made the same argument yesterday, when you tried to link all Biden voters to the 2 guys that attempted to assassinate the orangutan, and then when confronted, you disappeared ( I guess to watch Barca be awesome again ). Just because you condone the J6 rioters doesn't mean we condone all the crazies on the left in a similar way.
I keep thinking about the fact that when Trump sent out stimulus checks, he was astute enough to make sure his name and signature were on them. To this day, people still give him credit for those checks. When Biden sent out stimulus checks, they bore the name of some random guy at Treasury. And the Biden administration was so politically inept they claimed this as a virtue! It might seem like a small thing. But really, it's not. It's an example of how Trump intuitively knew how to claim credit and communicate that effectively, while Biden just didn't.
What's wrong with Lulu? Far sight better than Bolsanero, Trump's ideological cousin ruining societies with right wing authoritarianism one country at a time.
Trump also opposed the checks. The Dems suck so bad at messaging. Of course, a lot of it is Trump lying and he's always more willing to go there than anyone.
Yeah, Trump has a knack for that kinda stuff, and democrats most certainly do not. Though I don't know if this is the greatest example, because its what led to the inflation (plus it was kind of crazy to send money to people with 6-figure salaries that suffered no impact on their income during COVID). But of course, most Trump voters don't have the mental capacity to make that link.
That's right. He knew that handing out checks with his name on them was good PR. Nothing more complicated than that. As @BocaFan suggested, that's a level of complexity that's beyond the ken of most people. Trump conveyed the message that people would get.
I'd like to challenge this claim as an overstated generalization, the sort of blanket statement that we should not be making. However, the current swarm of Trump fanboys in this thread are not providing evidence to the contrary, so your point stands.
Didn't win him the election though. Not sure those checks are still in people's minds. Maybe so. But the only rhetoric I see is that Biden's stimulus caused inflation from the right wing nuts.
Oh, I've seen idiots citing this in Trump's favor during this election -- when Trump was president, he sent me a check, with Biden eggs are $20. That kind of thing. As for the stuff about Biden's checks causing inflation, so what if the messaging isn't internally consistent? It's still a simple message: Trump sent me a check, Biden caused inflation. Pound that in relentlessly, and Trump's going to get votes.
We really believe the same stuff inverting the names and replacing left with right, don't we? Hahaha All you guys say about Trump voters being dumb and uneducated is the same discourse the right-wingers have in Brazil, as those in the poorest regions of the country still vote for Lula. We are one and the same <3 I truly believe we would all get along and the politicians are the ones benefiting from regular people hating and fighting each other. I don't fully agree with you so I get called nazi, fascist, sexist, homophobic, etc. and that stops me from trying to be nice to you. That's a shame. Hopefully, one day you bunch will wake up. We'll have a beer together then!
Fully agreeing has nothing to do with anything. I don't think anyone posting in here agrees on absolutely everything. Trump's VP called him a nazi. His followers are afraid of people that are LGBTQ+ and he makes the most of it. And no one cares if you are nice or not.
A friend of my sibling's is married to an immigrant and is a Trump fanboy. Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a thing.
GOP dominates the social media landscape.. their talking points real and specially the made up have gotten airplay for the last 10+ years.. look up most popular podcasts, influencers, and trends on places like TikTok.. the Right Wing talking points dominate the airwaves.. thats it folks have been getting teed up for a decade now.. democrats insist that our diversity is transformative and America is always evolving.. the reality is the Right says “America is for Americans and youre not one of us” and a chunk of the people take that to heart and try to conform and fit in.. they compromise the uniqueness of their identity in a desperate bid to fit in.. its reflected in many things that they do in their life to include taking on the grievances of the group they want to fit into even at the expense of others like themselves.. The double standard is the media.. the “mainstream media” belongs to rich oligarchs, they are part of the corporation controlling the nation.. they will sane wash and look the other way to what a guy like Trump says and focus on the minutia of what the other side says.. thats why “concepts of a plan” is acceptable for one side and not the other.. Its the Dems buying a 1 minute ad during a 3 hour MAGA podcast Its so funny to think that Biden/Dems put so much money in national infrastructure to raise everyones quality of life.. they made it so rural areas could have access to internet and stuff like that.. their reward is those voters were than able to access the MAGA propaganda machine which taught them the Dems dont do anything for the common folk
