From what I see, it looks like NY, NJ, CA is gonna constitute a lot of those lost votes for her. Either no shows or voted that went for Trump as he is going to over perform in those states compared to 2020 (as I guess is all over the country). In NY I know the whole immigration thing became an issue. I didn't follow that story closely so I don't how accurate that story was.

    Two things:

    1) When all the votes are in, Donald Trump 2024 is likely to have fewer Electoral Votes than either of Obama's wins and a smaller share of the popular vote than George W. Bush in 2004. This isn't a landslide. Words have meaning. The word "landslide" in particular has a meaning. The last landslide this country experienced -- a 10 percentage point win or greater -- was Reagan in 1984.

    2) I don't ********ing care if you don't want to hear "I told you so." I'm going to shout it from the rooftops.

The graphic that you are barely able to understand, if you even possess basic numeracy, shows that the longer populist governments of all stripes are in office, the worse the economy performs. A second-term Donald Trump will likely result in economic decline of between 5 and 10 percentage points.

That's in line with economic consensus:

Lest we forget, we already tried Trumpism. Trump's disastrous economic policies did not spur economic growth, and his management led to a million ********ing dead people! The loony lefty sandal-wearing hippies at Forbes had this to say:

I'll tag you in every post showing Trump's failures. Until you die, or until you quit BigSoccer, you will be forced to see the consequences of your shit decision.

Still losing the popular vote by over 3 million.
As opposed to the people who say that the other side winning is the end of democracy or the world?
They don't do this just in America but over here in Europe (and probably in other places) as well.
If you vote for them you're on the right side of history, and if you don't you surely must be one of those low IQ racist nazi white supremacist trolls, duh!

    Yes. Somewhere around that figure.

Here is a tip. If you don't want the Nazi / Authoritarian association, don't lift quotes from such figures. Don't use terms like "vermin", "the enemy within", "they are poisoning our blood", don't joke that you'd like to be a dictator for a day to have his way, don't throw superlatives at other dictators because people follow what they say. His choice for VP called him a Nazi.

It’s amazing how the “always online” left keeps parroting these tired lines that convince nobody but themselves that Trump is literally hitler literally the day after they lost an election in part because they refused to give up on these tired lines.

I was hearing pundits (The Bulwark?) say that virtually every group except college-educated white women drifted to the orange fascist. As such, I was curious to compare LGBT+ in 2020 and 2024 using CNN exit polls.

    Among LGBT:

    2020 Biden +37 (64 to 27), 7% of the electorate
    2024 Harris +73 (86 to 13), 8% of the electorate

    That's a massive shift left.

Interesting - JD Vance was quite vocal about transgenders on the recent Joe Rogan podcast. Wouldn't be surprised if that had a huge impact. Which would also mean doing the Joe Rogan podcast had a huge impact on Trump winning.

This isn't even an argument, just more Liberal sermonizing.
But since you mentioned it, "Authoritarianism" isn't even exclusive to the Right.
Demanding that people be banished from public life (or even be locked up) for expressing opinions you don't like or for opposing government overreach, something that many people on your side do, is among the hallmarks of "Authoritarianism."

She lost because she can't even explain the definition of inflation. An embarrassing watch.

So racist is the USA that Obama won 2 terms. She's is fake and has zero substance. Was given the nomination without merit.

Harris said "fight" 20 times and also said “and we will continue to wage the fight… in the public square”.

Sounds like she's calling for an insurrection.

I really just don't get it guys. Isn't it time for some self-reflection? You keep blaming fake news and nazism and whatever and seem uncappable of admitting left-wing policies do not reflect the wishes of those in economically vulnerable positions.

It's 2016 all over again. "ITS THE NAZIS FAULT!!!!!"

Or maybe it's your fault by calling regular people nazis. Come on, you can't be this close-minded and dense. Listen to the other side, listen to what poor people want and care about. I live in a poor country. Nobody here cares about what the left has to offer. It became an elite-focused movement filled with "celebrities" promoting shit completely disconnected from reality.

You really think people will respect Katy Perry talking about open borders while she lives in a mansion surrounded by the tallest walls money can buy?

Do you really think people care if Lady Gaga is depressed because her trans friends are sad when people are depressed because they can't pay their freaking bills?

Seriously, I'm trying to help you here. The nazi rethoric is not working anymore. Come up with something else.

Trump's triumphant return and the humiliation of woke activists

What we saw in the United States was not just a victory for Donald Trump. It was the woke movement's biggest fall
There is something fascinating, almost tragicomic, about the way progressive elites in recent years have positioned themselves as synonyms for democracy, virtue and social justice. “We are democracy,” they proclaim. But any political force that claims to own this concept is, in fact, digging its own grave. Democracy does not accept monopolies, not even those of virtue.

The so-called woke, who dominate public debate among progressive elites, are not only authoritarian, they are insufferable. The attempt to encapsulate minorities in an “ideological slave quarters” where everyone must march to the same beat and repeat the same speech is not only a strategic failure but a betrayal of the very idea of diversity.

Blacks, Latinos, women, gays and trans people need to think the same way. Who defines how to think? The usual clique. The “todEs” club, led by activists who behave like mean girls from a rich school, armed with their cries of “racist!”, “fascist!”, “homophobic!”. Anyone who dares to deviate even slightly from the script is canceled without mercy.

And it was precisely this stance that led the woke to the ground – humiliated, mocked and ignored – in the most recent US elections. Donald Trump not only survived the moral apocalypse they predicted, but he also expanded his electorate among minorities that, ironically, progressives swore to represent. The increase in the Latino vote for Trump is a slap in the face to those who thought they could dictate what each group should think.

And the elites didn’t understand anything. “How can anyone vote for Trump?” This question, repeated in an indignant tone by many, reveals more about the cognitive incapacity of those who ask it than about the choices of the electorate.

Here’s the thing: You may not like Trump, but you have to be intellectually honest to understand why someone would vote for him. If you can’t, it’s because you’re so stuck in your bubble of virtue that you’d rather believe the world is stupid or rigged. It’s easier to blame fake news or people’s “inherent evil” than to face the fact that maybe the problem is you.

The obsession with identity that has contaminated progressivism has led to minorities being seen not as individuals with their own voices, but as homogeneous blocs that must follow the dogma imposed by the enlightened woke. It is an authoritarian project disguised as empathy. And the most ironic thing? Those who hate the woke the most are the very minorities they claim to defend.

The Democratic Party has given this madness too much space and is now paying the price. Kamala Harris tried, she kept her distance from everyone during the campaign. But the fans, oh, the fans are a disaster. The woke act like that toxic fan club that ruins the image of any celebrity. They think they are saving the world, but they are just ripping people's spontaneity out of them in the name of some supposed collective virtue.

And when the results come, surprise is inevitable. They don't realize that they are hated. That their stances are seen as arrogant, condescending and absolutely unbearable. The answer to this disaster? Change the people. If the people don't agree with them, the problem is the people. They are never to blame. After all, they have a monopoly on virtue. If they are being rejected, it can only be because of fake news, manipulation or the intrinsic evil of the other person.

So should we cancel the woke? I don’t advocate canceling them. They have the right to speak and live according to their belief system, just like any other sect. I advocate recognizing them for what they are: a radical sect of daddy’s boys who confuse activism with bullying. They can exist, they can shout their “todEs” as much as they want. They just can’t be taken seriously. Not anymore.
What we saw in the United States was not just a victory for Donald Trump. It was the woke movement's biggest fall. A public humiliation. Who knows, perhaps a milestone for a change of direction. No one can stand being judged by mean girls from rich schools dressed up as activists anymore.

What people ? The President or the Presidential candidate ? Are you comparing what some civilians among millions in a population might think versus what an actual politician / President says ?

Exactly. In Timmy Walz's Minnesota during Covid, he set up a snitch hotline for people to tattle-tale on their neighbors: "They're outside barbequing, OMG!!" And they had the fascist Anti-fa types walking down streets and yelling at people who were sitting on their porches.

His bat-sh** crazy wife was quoted in an interview saying that she enjoyed the smell of burning tires from the riots. This was the wife of a governor who should have been protecting citizens.
