There will be more deportations and they will be lawful. The laws don’t need to be changed, just enforced a bit more. Most undocumented immigrants won’t be deported but the fear of deportation will keep them marginalized and ripe for exploitation. The corrupt system that allows undocumented immigrants to come and become de facto second class system will continue to thrive, more so under Trump than it has under Biden.
If he imposes all of the tariffs he wants, deports all the undocumented migrants and lets Elon dismantle the government -- all things he says he will do -- then explain to me how that won't crash the economy?
So much salt here, lol. Left's bubble of stupidity lost them another election. Poor people don't care about gender identity, climate change, and other things only rich people care about. Poor people want jobs. Spare me of the stupid "Huuuuuuuur DUuuuurr but with ClIamahTe ChAnage TherE wiLll Bee No JobsSs huuuurrrr" rethoric. Just stop. You will keep losing if you maintain that discourse. It saddens me to see you painting the working class as ultra-far-right-nazis. THen you get mad when you get labeled communists. It's time to revaluate, guys. Do yourself that favor.
"Poor people want jobs" -- unemployment is the lowest it's been in history. Apparently poor people are also really fvcking stupid.
There’s no need to reevaluate. We’re the left. We live in a world where we believe in exotic sounding thing like science and facts and evidence. Now the working class that voted for this are going to learn what “this” is. They’ll also learn that they’re not gonna get a do over.
The part about crashing the economy I predict the economy will flourish under Trump. Quote me in 4 years to see if thats true
One thing you can learn over recent elections in the USA is how low the calibre of candidates on both sides is. The lack of intellect, erudition & common sense on both sides. The commitment to dogma over logic. The same is true in the UK where we have had a duopoly Labour & Conservatives running the country into the ground for 3-4 decades. No efforts to control mass uncontrolled immigration, cultural & social problems that arise from it. soaring crime, no efforts to create a green economy & energy provision to benefit all , no effort to close inequality between the very rich elite & the rest of society, failing education, declining infrastructure. Instead we have a bunch of career politicians who love to lie all the time & behave like arch hypocrites. Far too many lawyers & bankers & not enough real people & certainly not enough scientists. Politics in the US is starting to resemble the decadent days of the Roman Republic. Rich plutocrats or those with very strong lobbies only need apply to the highest offices of state. The plebs can simply forget about it.
I don't think he'll do most of what he's been saying, but no doubt corruption and cronyism will increase and human rights will be respected less. The nation's institutions will continue to deteriorate and we can only hope that they will hold. It's really up in the air. I don't think he'll go with the massive tariffs he promised, but he will use tariffs irrationally as a weapon in a punitive manner against nations he doesn't like and that will have a negative effect on the economy. The US economy is still strong, but it will be tested. We will go through tough times, but we still don't know how far it will go. We need to remain strong. The forces that bring us Trump are everywhere, not just in the US. I'm holding my ground here and will deal with whatever happens
Go touch some grass. Everyone seems to forget Trump was ALREADY president and none of this shit people claim are going to happen, actually happened. In fact, the economy did really well under him and people could afford groceries. As Oranje said, quote me in 4 years.
Did you follow this election from some bizarro alternate universe where climate change was at all a topic in this campaign? I agree it's bizarre that it wasn't. Though perhaps I am still overestimating people. But anyway, keep on ignoring it, I'm sure that will prove a winning strategy. People like you are no longer even worthy of contempt imho.
That is a list that appeals to very different people, and I don't think you are going to get much support for any of those things other than dealing with crime, and that isn't an area for the federal government. The US election is also never based on policy. It is basically a vibe check. So trying to say people should do more of X or Y is quite naive. Biden passed a big infrastructure bill - do people care? Not at all.
I think the exact opposite is true. The US will start a golden era under Trump. Of course I reserve the right to be wrong
What are you so mad about all the way over there in Belgium? Go eat some fries or chocolate or whatever you guys do and calm down a bit.
Yea, exactly why your side lost and the majority who won think you’re ridiculous. Comparing Trump to Hitler and Goebbels that literally carried out exterminations and started the deadliest war in history, you should be ********ing ashamed at how stupid you sound.
