Great. Just add him to the pile, then.

The audio version puts him on the spot asking what city he'd prefer (jokingly though), he said NY or LA, probably the first two US cities that came to his head

He also said that about the Premiership, and the club he'd like to go to was Arsenal. He's being interviewed by ussoccer, so of course he's likely to say something like that.

Kaká: I don’t know, but I think the American league is becoming more attractive for everybody. I think about that. At the end of my career, I would like to play in America.”

How about we work on bringing players that aren't past their prime? I'm not saying Kaka is past his prime, but he's not going to want to move here until he is. And if this continues to happen, we'll continue to be looked as a joke.

It would be nice to have some of these caliber players here in the MLS before their retirement years, but the cost involved is tremendous and until we get better TV coverage, sponsors and remove some of the caps (among other details) in the league it'll be difficult.

When you have players in the MLS wanting to jump ship and head to another league in Europe for more money, prestige and some would argue better play, this needs to change so they want to stay and other players want to come here to play, kinda a catch 22.

You never know though. Becks is here already. Gregory Coupet has been linked with MLS. Ronaldinho said he might end his career here. Andriy Shevchenko has basically said he IS coming. And now Kaka. It makes you wonder...

Absolutely. Anyone can cash in when they're 35, but top-notch players have to be IN their prime and possibly playing for their national teams still for the league to grow.

Kaka and Marcelo Saragosa are best friends. In fact they were the best man at each others respective weddings. If I'm Dallas I hold onto Saragosa for about 10 years and try to get Kaka there.

It's too bad that Saragosa has none of his best friend's skill.

This is someone we should AVOID bringing to MLS. IF he looks at MLS as a place to retire, play relaxed, not give 100% and just collect a pay check then he can stay in Milan.

PS this is coming from someone that LIKES KAKA

The real problem with the MLS really isnt any of the things mentioned above. Yes they might come here for money but there are other leagues where they can probably earn more. The middle east comes to mind.
I think that they dont come younger is because the MLS doesnt really play a FULL CALENDAR and isnt involved in anything prestigious in terms of international league play. If we can spice that up with more prominent showings in the SUDAMERICANA and get into the Libertadores at some point. Then the tables might turn for us in terms of getting some younger quality players.
Between the LIBERTADORES and SUDAMERICANA I would aim for the LIB. its a higher prestige tourney and allows you the chance to play for the World Cup of Clubs in Tokyo.
