Belgian Cup match today vs Lierse S.K. at 3:45pm. I would assume he gets the start, but there might be some squad rotation in the round of 32.
Another solid performance. He does a good job of causing issues for defenses, but is not spectacular at all.
Did not start, but came on for the last 16 min. He did a good job pushing for a third and holding the ball up. Match finished 2-1.
came on at the 59th minute when they were down 6-0 against Club Brugge and then got subbed out 5 minutes later due to injury
St. Truiden just got blitzed today. Too bad on the injury. He hardly had time to even touch the ball. Two dribbles, one pass and one shot in 6 min. That sounds like my total High School basketball career.
Not on the bench for the Linburg Derby vs Genk. No specific word on what the injury was that he picked up, but it has kept him out this week.
he's gonna be out 6-8 weeks with his injury https://yanks-abroad.co/2024/12/01/...njury-could-see-him-sidelined-for-two-months/
His contract is up this upcoming summer (2025). It will be very interesting to see what happens with him.
He's played 240-odd minutes or almost 3 games less this season to date than he did in all of last season but his number of goal interventions is almost the same - 3 goals and 2 assists versus 5 goals and 1 assist. He also starts nearly every game he's passed fit for. That's for a team doing far worse than last season - in the relegation playoff zone rather than its Conference League counterpart - and on its second coach of the season. If there's an option, they'll trigger it regardless of whether they stay up or not but I'd imaging that their reason for that will be to get a (relatively modest) fee for him.
Since the first coach, former MLS coach, the team has done reasonably well. I think he will be back as well. He has learned to be a solid contributed for the team. His play off the ball has gotten so much better than last season.
St.Truiden have signed 2 forwards - Didier Lampkel Ze on a free transfer and Hiiro Komori on loan Lampkel has a somewhat successful career, most notably playing with Royal Antwerp scoring 12 G/A and 10 G/A in 2019-20 and 2020-21. Hasn't had that level of success since. He's more of a winger than a striker but he has played there. He's also had numerous off the field issues and mutually terminated his contract with the club he was with prior to St.Truiden. EDIT: The off the field issues are actually pretty funny so I'm including them: When he was at Royal Antwerp, he wanted to join Greek side Panathinaikos, and wore the shirt of Antwerp's rival RSC Anderlecht. When he showed up to training wearing the kit, security at the training ground refused to let him in, where he then had a fight with security. He then said he would wear the shirt of the Antwerp's city rivals, Beerschot lmao. When he was at Belgian side Kortrijk, 4 months in he said he was better than the club and said he would sign for Ferencvaros, the best club in Hungary during January even though he signed a 3 year contract. He didn't go to Ferencvaros, instead he was loaned to Moroccan side Wydad AC. Hiiro Komori is a japanese player from the J2(Japanese 2nd divison) who plays as a striker. This season, he was top scorer in the J2 with 23 goals, 5 more than the next highest and was named J2 League MVP. He's also like Kahveh where he went to university and then turned pro.
