Daegu's a really sucky soccer team.. i think K-League should have the same format as European leagues like if your team gets last place you get demoted to K2 League and if you won K2 League you get promoted to K-League. i'd like to see Halleujah in K-League :D

Park Chu Young, and Lee Dong Gook were going to be picked no matter what but im suprised Choi Sung Yong got picked..

is that Santos the Santos who plays for Japan?!!?!?

This has been repeated 100 times here. Promotion/Relegation system isn't going to happen till the 2007 season.

And Daegu might not have a lot of money but they had a pretty good offense last year.

And no, that's not the Santos that plays for Japan.

On the contrary I'm surprised (yet not too surprised) that Sandro Hiroshi hasn't received all that many votes - in my opinion he's been better than the two leading forwards for the South team.

Santos is a Brazilian defender by the full name of Rogerio Pinheiro dos Santos, and he used to play for Vasco da Gama before joining Pohang.

It'll be interesting to see how many foreign players actually get voted into the teams as generally there aren't that many, and the coaches then use most of their wildcard slots on bringing foreign players into the squad. Nadson and Andy Cooke scored three of the six goals in last year's all-star match and they were both drafted in as wildcards.

Man the All-Star Voting is biased ;)

I remember when Sha-Sha (sp) scored a butt-load of goals in 02. Damn it's been a long time since I've watched the K-League All-Star game...

    Same here

I'm hoping Ricardo(FC Seoul) and Luciano(Busan) will get the votes. And how the heck does the coach of two teams in the bottom of the league get voted to coach the all star game. My choices were for the Brazilian in Pohang and Jang Wae-ryong.

plays who don't belong in the starting line up imo :

    Baek Ji-hoon
    Kim Dong-jin

    Ko Jong-soo
    Chung Kyung-ho

and both coaches need to be off of that list immediately.

    not really.

being a starter for our NT doesn't always mean he deserves a spot at the all star game.

he had been inconsistent for Seoul (not to mention his horrible form for our NT before the Kuwait game) and didn't even play many games due to NT call-ups.

Kim DJ IMO doesnt even deserve to be in the NT. He passes when he should take a shot and vice versa. His left foot isn't all that great. He can't defend that well either. Overall he just messes with the tempo and flow of the attack.

Yeah those were the two coaches that I went for.

About Ko Jong-soo, he got voted into last year's All-star team despite the fact that he had only started ONE match for Suwon and made four sub appearances that season since returning from Japan.

It's basically a popularity contest, rather than an exercise in fielding teams comprising the best players of the season so far.

With Kim DJ, he's actually been playing well for FC Seoul the past couple of games since returning from Kuwait. I think the assist to Park CY has boosted his confidence or something.

And our boy Baik JH probally got all his votes from the 빠순이s(not that I don't like the player or anything. How could you, playing for the beloved FC Seoul:D )
