I must not have seen it, but what did Thuram do to warrant the same rating as Conceicao?

 

I must admit, I thought he was there best player , put a lot of work in plus he had Danilo making him look great

 

Danilo not close enough to Bonny and he gets his shot on target then Gatti left wanting from the goal. Poor start

 

Is cambiasso playing for Parma tonight. He is only passing to there players

 

They could have had 4 in that first half. Danilo and Gatti not getting goal side on numourous occasions. When they get the ball between our midfield and defence we are in real trouble. Either the back four have to push up a bit or the midfield have to play deeper. Danilo is done , he’s a liability and Gatti needs a great player alongside him. If you look at there second, Danilo done for pace and Locatelli not getting back in time to cover the runners. I would get kalulu on for Danilo and Fagioli for Thuram to give us stability and better balance. Our passing has also been atrocious the amount of times we give the ball away.

Danilo almost cost us the game 2x in the last few minutes with his stupid challenges.

other than that, Parma defense was solid. It was hard to break them down.

Better second half. Danilo should not put a Juve shirt on again unless he drastically improves. To many defensive errors cost us all 3 points and not enough service for Vlahovic.. Needed to move the ball quicker and show more urgency. It’s no good showing urgency just for the last 5 minutes. Thought the USA guys done great tonight and Locatelli is improving and had another good game. MOM for me was Wes, put a good shift in and got a great goal. Can’t see us competing for the scudetto without Bremer, and by January when we can bring in a new centre half it will be too late. Dropping to many points to Napoli and Inter and getting to many draws at home. Should stick with Kalulu and Gatti at the back, or use Cabal as a central defender. Did think Cabal was not at his best tonight though.

 

Pass accuracy 90%. I bet it wasn’t that at half time.

We can't play a high line with our CBs. They aren't fast enough to recover when facing fast teams. Parma worked us on the counter. Others will too.

 

McKennie and Weah will give you some good games and timely goals here and there. It's not enough though. I want the Champions League and we are going nowhere with these kinds of midfields that lack high-end skill. We should be thinking bigger and our signings over the last few years have been mediocre at best.

As for the defense, yes Danilo sucks, but Motta has the team terribly organized. He really should inherit the "Tinkerman" nickname from Ranieri. He's constantly changing up his lineup, his starters, moving players to different positions, etc. It's no wonder the midfield and defense are not in sync. I agree there is way to much space between the D and midfield.

 

That means the midfield will have to sit deeper and the forwards won’t be able to do a high press without us being taken advantage of between the lines
