2015-16 season all over again. Lose the first like 10-12 games and thin win consecutively and comeback and win the Scudetto.
It will take time to recover and piece together a great team. Allegri's lineup was pretty awful today since it obviously didn't work out. You could tell what he was trying to do to some degree. This lineup was to liberate both Chiesa and Dybala. By dropped the CF, neither needed to defend the wings or deeper in midfield since Juve had four CMs. This was very effective until Juve conceded. Chiesa playing as an inside left forward was Juve's only threat all game. Once Morata came on, Chiesa was forced to drop back when Juve formed the 4-4-2 defensively and cover a sideline. Dybala can't do this defensively. Unfortunately, Chiesa became much less effective and Juve's main attacking threat was gone.
Correct, but this is always the case. Opposing teams will always raise their games when they face a top club such as Juve. A top club will always find a way to win even on a bad day. Unfortunately, Juve are not a top club at this moment.
Well yeah, the team doesn’t have have a midfield and our attackers are lacking. This is gonna be a painful season.
OK but if Juve is NOT a Top Club at this moment will opposing teams be inclined to raise their games against them?
As the historical top club in Italy, every opponent gets up for Juve. It the same in the Dutch league with Ajax. I always see teams raising their level of play.
Empoli are not a top team but they won the Serie B in 2020-2021 and only lost 3 games all last season. Twice in May and once in October all by a score of 2-0 each time. Serie B is nowhere near the Serie A but its a very difficult division. Many forget that even Juventus lost four games when they were in that league in 06-07. They let a guy named Matteo Searfini , a perennial Serie C player get a hat trick on them. It’s far from an easy tier to play in....
Bentancur got injured with Uruguay and is in doubt for the Napoli match. He should be in doubt for every match regardless of injury...
